Scruffles the Spaniel 🐾💕

Scruffles came in for his second appointment with me this week and when I say this boy is FLOOFY… you honestly wouldn’t believe it 🙈 the photos just do not do it justice 😂

Last time Scruffles came to me, we kept things on the floor as he found being up on the table a bit too much. He’d never had a professional groom before and was used to being clipped at home on the floor, so that’s what we worked with 🐶

Fast forward to this visit… and what a difference 💖

He was up on the table for most of his groom, much more understanding of what was going on and how to behave, and honestly… an absolute little champ 👏✨

And can we just talk about those ears 😍 the thickest, heaviest ears ever… proper spaniel ears 🙈💕

I can’t wait to see you next time Scruffles 🐶✨

Winnie the Shihpoo 🐾💕

The lovely Miss Winnie came in for her pamper and honestly… what a good girl she is 🐶✨

She’s been coming to me a little while now and you can really see the difference. Now she’s settled and trusts me, she’s so good to groom 💖

Winnie is an older girl, so I always take things at her pace. Grooming can be a lot for them, so she has plenty of comfort breaks, no pressure to stand if she doesn’t want to, and I just work around her where I can 🥺

And I swear… every time she leaves she looks about 5 years younger 😍 such a cutie and definitely still a young girl at heart 💕

Daisy 🌼🐾💕

The wonderful Daisy came in for her usual tidy up and as always… sat like an absolute little champ 🐶✨

I genuinely love having this girl in, she is full of kisses, cuddles and all the love 💖 and that tail… honestly never stops wagging 🙈 I’m convinced it has a mind of its own 😂

She’s had “happy tail” in the past, which is all healed now, but you can still see where there was some damage before she was rescued. She’s not usually a fan of her tail being touched, but over time she’s learnt to trust me and let me gently work around it 🥺💕

Her owner likes to keep her clipped nice and short to make things easier to manage and avoid knots, and she always leaves looking absolutely stunning 😍

Such a good girl every single time 💕

Tilly the Beagle 🐾💕

Tilly came in for her first ever groom with me for a bath and deshed… and wow, the hair just kept coming on this little lady 🙈🐶

For her first visit she did so well. She was great for the deshed, and although she found the bath and dry a bit more overwhelming, she got through it with lots of praise, reassurance… and plenty of treats too 🍖💖

She even checked my bin just in case I’d hidden any extra treats in there 😂

Such a lovely girl and it was so nice to meet you Tilly. I look forward to seeing you again soon ✨

Poppy the Bernedoodle 🐾💕

This gorgeous girl is still young and we’ve been building her confidence together since she first started coming to me. She is honestly the sweetest… but can be a little unsure, sometimes even of her own shadow 🥺

Yesterday I tried something different and pre-clipped Poppy before her bath, as she really doesn’t enjoy the dryer. It meant less time doing the bit she finds hardest and she coped SO much better 💖

She was calmer, more relaxed, and even let me tidy areas she usually isn’t keen on like her paw pads, lower legs and sanitary areas.

So proud of you Poppy 🐶✨

💕 Miss Tilly 💕

If you’d met Tilly on her first visit, you’d never believe where we are now! 😂🙈

The first time she came to me, she really wasn’t my biggest fan. In fact, she went home with a damp, unfinished head because she’d had enough and I wasn’t going to push her past what she could cope with.

Fast forward a year and we’re proper besties. 💕

Now don’t get me wrong, Tilly still doesn’t love being groomed. I’d pretty much guarantee she’d rather be anywhere else! 😂 But she’s learnt that she’s safe, she trusts me, and she gets through her appointments so much better now.

She’s such a sweet senior girl, and I always enjoy having Miss Tilly on my table. ❤️

She’s a great example of why consistency with grooming really matters for anxious dogs. It doesn’t happen overnight, but giving them time, working at their pace and building that trust can make such a difference.

❤️ Meet Teddy ❤️

This handsome little boy came to Dapper Dogs today for a bit of a fresh start. 🐾

Teddy is an 18 month old rescue, and his temporary owner, who already brings her two Cockapoos to me, wanted him to have a bit of a reset before he goes off to his new forever home. 🤞❤️

You could tell he was a little nervous, and I don’t think he’s had much grooming before, or perhaps only once or twice. So today was all about taking things at his pace, helping him feel safe, and getting him clean, comfortable and knot free.

Everything crossed that Teddy’s new home is the forever home he truly deserves. Wishing you all the happiness in the world, little man. 🐾❤️
