🐾 Meet two beautiful new faces, Otis & Penny! ❤️

These two lovely dogs came to visit me for their very first appointment at Dapper Dogs, and I had so much fun grooming you both!

Otis is a proper veteran when it comes to grooming. He sat like an absolute champ and made the whole process look easy. What a legend! 😂❤️

And then there’s little Penny. Such a sweet, affectionate, dinky little dog with the loveliest nature.

Penny needed a little time to get used to me and all the new sights, smells and sounds. The dryer wasn’t particularly high on her list of favourite things, but she soon got there. Plenty of cuddles helped along the way! 🥰

She’s also not particularly keen on having her little feet and legs groomed, so curling herself up into the tiniest little ball was her preferred option! 😂

I let Penny have the space and time she needed, allowing her to move and settle when she wanted to, while gently encouraging her to stand when I needed to work on certain areas.

I really believe it’s important that dogs have some choice and control during their groom. They shouldn’t feel that everything is being done to them. Giving them a little autonomy, recognising when they need a moment and building that trust makes such a difference.

It’s all about finding that balance between allowing them to feel comfortable and helping them become familiar with the grooming process.

A lovely first visit with you both. I look forward to seeing you again! ❤️

🐾 MISS MABEL, THE MOST PHOTOGENIC LITTLE SPANIEL! 📸🤍

Miss Mabel came to see me yesterday, and honestly, how photogenic is this girl?! 😍📸

I absolutely love my appointments with Mabel. She’s an absolute nutter, as mad as a box of frogs 🤣🙈, so everything has to be done in stages with this little lady! But underneath all that craziness is the sweetest girl you’ll ever meet, with plenty of kisses to share. 💋🐶❤️

Mabel seemed to really enjoy her bath, and as she’s a white dog, I used a whitening shampoo on those stubborn areas that tend to get a little more grubby. 🤍✨ Just look at her!

I always work at each dog’s pace, making sure they get the time, patience and care they need. One size definitely doesn’t fit all when it comes to grooming! 🐾❤️

Looking forward to seeing you again, Mabel! Bring on the next round of madness! 🤣💕

🐾❤️ A LITTLE FAVOUR TO ASK ❤️🐾

As a small, home-based dog groomer in Milborne Port, I’m trying to grow my little business and reach more local dog owners.

If your dog has been to see me, I would be so grateful if you could leave an honest review on my page. 🐶

It doesn’t need to be long or fancy, just your genuine thoughts about your experience and how your dog got on.

Reviews really do help other owners feel confident choosing a groomer, and they make such a difference to small businesses like mine.

If you’re unsure how to leave a review, please pop me a message and I’ll happily help you. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who has trusted me with their gorgeous dogs and supported me along the way. It really does mean the world! 🐾

🐾 Sometimes, the best groom is the one where we learn to listen ❤️

Meet Dudley, the gorgeous Sprockerpoo, who came to see me for his second visit! 🐶

This time, Dudley was feeling a little unsure. After his toilet break, he decided he really didn’t fancy getting back on the grooming table, so we finished his groom on the floor instead!

Dudley is a sensitive soul and a nervous little fella, so rather than push him beyond his comfort zone, I adapted the groom to suit him. ❤️

Building trust and confidence takes time. Dogs need to feel safe, understood and listened to, and sometimes the smallest adjustments make the biggest difference.

✨ This is what 121 grooming is all about.

Your dog gets my time, patience and undivided attention. We work at their pace, making their comfort and wellbeing a priority. Because it’s not just about getting the groom finished, it’s about building a relationship where your dog can learn to trust me. 🐾

📅 I still have a few appointments available for October!

🎄 Christmas bookings are open and filling up, so get in touch to secure your dog’s spot before the diary fills.

📩 Looking for a calm, patient, home-based dog groomer in Milborne Port? Send me a message. I’d love to hear from you!
