Always grateful when a client takes the time to leave a review, reviews are invaluable to a small business and allow us to build trust within the local community. But, I totally understand the frustration living in an age when it seems you can not go for a loaf of bread without being asked to leave a review, I myself become rather heavy handed on the delete button 🤣.

Hope you have all enjoyed the Bank Holiday Weekend. I am now back to work after a few days spent with my family, all messages and appointment requests will be acknowledged by tomorrow evening.

We had a fabulous few hours last week spent at meeting, learning about and flying some of the flying team. I would thoroughly recommend a flying experience, great fun and educational.

Visiting the groomer can indeed be stressful for both dogs and their owners. But rest assured here at Waggy Tails Professional Dog Grooming, I hear you and you can be confident that a relaxed and stress free visit is our number one goal.

Puppies are welcomed into our grooming salon gradually following our puppy introduction programme.

Senior dogs and those suffering from chronic conditions such as musculoskeletal pain receive what we often refer to as a comfort groom.

Nervous, anxious dogs and or owners are always offered a Meet & Greet prior to any grooming appointment.

You Win Some, You Lose Some!

Success and failure are both inevitable and a natural part of life, especially so in business. Without failure we see no growth and with success comes motivation to keep moving forward.

I am very lucky to have built a regular client base over the last few years, a client base built on trust and mutual respect 😘.

It was inevitable, you always get one and this will not be the last. One who holds no accountability, becomes disrespectful when we enforce our boundaries and when not given exactly what they want threatens to bad mouth you.

Am I going to turn off reviews? No
Am I upset, questioning my own customer service skills? No
Am I worried about losing one client? No
Is this situation going to affect me moving forward? No

WHY? You might ask.

Because if I am being disrespected as a person and a business owner for not being able to offer an appointment until late September then this screams success to me, and frees up space for clients who will and do value my skills as a dog groomer and respect my boundaries as both an individual and a business owner.

Finding a positive from an unpleasant encounter 😘

Welfare of the animal will ALWAYS be prioritized. I am, and always will be willing to deal with everything thrown at me when enforcing this.

Armed Forces Day June 2025

A time to show your support to the dedicated men and women who make up the Armed Forces community.

It may come as a bit of a surprise, but a perfect opportunity to share a little secret and get to know your Dog Groomer on a deeper level.

Prior to having my twins and becoming a Dog Groomer I was a serving member of the Royal Army Medical Corps, stationed in both UK and Germany and deployed to both Iraq and Afghanistan as a Combat Medical Technician. During my deployment in Afghanistan I secured a university place to study Operating Department Practice with a long term goal of working both in theatre and on the Air Ambulance.

However, as many veterans find the transition to civilian life is not always plain sailing especially so when leaving so soon after returning from operational tour. Yes, I did go to university but a short time later decided to take some time out swapping 'adrenaline chasing' for the simply life.

Showing my support to all my friends still serving, those on the journey of finding themselves and those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Just popping up to say 'Hello!'.

Warm one today, thankfully the grooming room is in the perfect spot and maintains a fairly consistent temperature allowing me to groom without disruption year round so all appointments will continue as planned.

Fresh drinking water is always available and the heat setting will be turned off on all dryers.
