Rosie came to see us due to her owners’ concerns about her unusual accidents during walks and at home.

After conducting tests on her urine and blood, along with a physical examination, we discovered that she had bladder stones. She was promptly transferred to our 24-hour hospital for a procedure known as a Cystotomy, during which several large stones were successfully removed.

Rosie stayed overnight for monitoring and pain management. We are thrilled to share that she is now feeling much better and has returned to her joyful self!

Some signs your pet is in pain…

⚠️Less interest in playing, walking or going out

⚠️Lack of energy, hiding, inappetence.

⚠️Reluctance to be touched or handled.

⚠️Refusal to walk, slowing down on walks or limping.

⚠️Slower to rise and lie down.

⚠️Difficulty jumping or climbing stairs.

If your pet shows any of these signs, call the practice to book a pain check on 01825 766006.

🐕Meet the team pets🐕

Hi, I'm Thena and I have not long turned 6 years young! I live with Nurse Livvy and my daughter Delphi (who keeps me busy).

I am not a fan of the rain, but you will always catch me soaking up the sun’s rays at every opportunity and staying on high alert for any noise that sounds suspicious.

I love long walks with hyperactive Delphi, and love to explore the wilderness, scaling any fallen tree for more sniffs. I have calmed down a little since my puppy days, but I will still be very excited to see anyone and run at speed towards them, just to make sure they are friendly too!

I love to nap up on the sofa in my blanket of an evening time, but any chance to curl up on a human lap, I am there! I love my treats, and ‘yum-yum’ time when it’s breakfast or dinner, so that I am always fuelled and ready to go for exploring the country side 🌳

Hi my name is Barnaby, and I am 10 years old. I was born in America and moved to the Uk when I was nearly 2.

I like to beat up my dog brother Dexter, but I love him dearly. You’ll usually find me in his bed, because I’m the boss!

My favourite things are my ball pit and waking up my mum, Heidi the practice manager, at 3am because I’m hungry, this mainly involves hitting her face or chewing her hair.
