Our beloved boy Midnight passed away unexpectedly overnight in 2020 and, at the height of lockdown, we didn't know what to do. Renting left us unable to bury him in our own garden and everywhere was shut down, so in the end all we could do was hand his body over to the vet - never to see him again. But, we did our best and clipped some of his fur ourselves, and keep both it and his collar tag with his photo.

He was a timid boy who hated visitors, but he loved our company and always came to us for a nightly cuddle before bed. He had an ongoing feud with a certain magpie who lived in the garden, for whom he would dilligently patrol every day. Although sometimes our boy fell asleep while watching for his nemesis...
