Summer appointments nearly all gone!!!

I have a handful of appointments between now and the middle of September

Spaces are as followed :

4th August
5th August @ 12noon
14th August @ 1pm and 2.30
18th August @ 1.30
19th August @ 10.30am/12noon/2pm
21st August @ 1pm
26th August @ 1.30pm

Appointments are based on location/ breed of dog or multiple dog households

Doggy teeth cleaning is available to add onto your grooming Appointments for just £5!

If your canine friend is happy to have his canines cleaned, they will recieve a doggy dental using an oral enzymatic vet approved toothpaste to gently clean the teeth using a finger brush and fresh breath dental spray to finish.

Please note I can only do this on dogs who are happy to have their teeth and mouth touched.

So sorry guys, unless extremely urgent I never cancel but this morning whilst loading my car I have badly hurt my back and I am currently unable to move.

Hoping it improves over the weekend, but if anyone has any tips and advice on ways to help heal and stop this crippling pain please let me know 🙏

Right guys its that time again.

For those of you entering your first summer with me, as part of my T&CS you may of read the part about extreme weather conditions.

Now unfortunately this is something out of my control, but when the weather breaks too high I have to make adjustments to how I work in order to protect myself and your dogs.

I am unable to groom any dog when the weather hits between 28-30 degrees, it is just far to hot in our homes.

Any temperatures above 25/26 i am unable to use my dryer. This is due to the amount of heat that comes off it, and will just add unnecessary heat to your already hot dogs. It can cause heat stroke, seizures and death. Not worth it in my opinion.

The only way I can continue grooming during these hot days, is by asking clients who are able bodied to pre bath your dogs before hand so I can still come and give them a dry cut. The other option is for me to do the grooming first and bathing after and towel dry your dogs. But this will all depend on your dogs coat and style as to which is the best option.

Ofcourse clients have an option to rearrange with 48hours notice, however I cannot guarantee the new date will also not be as hot during summer or that I will have space.

As always bathing is complimentary to all grooms in order to protect myself equipment

Evening all, beautiful blossom has joined the house of pooch crew this week. Isn't she just stunning 😍
Her mummy was having to groom her due to a break in her front leg a few months ago and wasn't doing a bad job! But she was relieved to hand her over to my care for a well-deserved pamper.
She secured her appointments until Christmas 🎄 😌

Hello everyone im kim the owner of House of pooch

For those who aren't aware, I am an in house mobile grooming service, providing grooming in the comfort of your own home so you can be with your dog during the process if you wish.

Anyone can use this service but i particularly specialise in nervous, reactive, elderly, and disabled dogs who might not do well in a salon environment.

I am currently able to take on some new clients in the stourbridge and surrounding areas but my spaces are limited so this will be on a first come basis.

I have 5 spaces left for july
And a handful more for August

Good morning all.
Super hot day today so please don't take your dogs out in this heat, wait until tonight when it's cooled down a little and the pavement isn't burning hot for their little feet.

Keep them out of the sun, curtains closed, provide plenty of fresh drinking water.
Paddling pool outside so they can take a dip.
Cool mats on the floor. Put fans on

Don't take them out in the car, even for a short trip if you need to leave them.

Keep an eye out for signs of heat stroke.

In regards to appointments I have 4 left in july! So if you want to get booked in please do so as soon as possible to avoid missing out

No van required I set up in your home so you can be with your fur-babies whilst I groom. Not every dog enjoys being groomed in a van or salon, This could be due to a number of reasons such as dog aggression, separation anxiety, old age and illness or lack of transportation. A lot of owners and dogs feel more at eased being groomed at home in their own environment. All i need access to is washing facilities so your pooch can be bathed and a plug socket for my equipment and i will take care of the rest.
