Please keep your dog safe this Christmas 🐾
The festivities are in full swing at home 🎄🎄
Lots and lots of high stimulation /over arousal for you and your dogs! And you! Lots of 'trigger stacking' likely for your dog.🐾
Lots of your delicious treats are toxic to your dogs, such as chocolate and mince pies. Keep them well out of the way 👌
Make sure your dog has a quiet / safe space where NO ONE is allowed to bother them 👌
Lots of guests, and alcohol, loosening peoole's inhibitions. Be mindful, this can be deeply unsettling for your dog
And 'door dashing' - keep your dogs in a safe space if lots of people are coming in and out 🐾
Mess, unusual smells, noisy toys, shrieking kids, floors covered in paper, less space, shorter walks. It can all become too much too quickly for your dog, and you likely having less time to concentrate your dog than usual🎄
The only bite / nip I've ever had was from a guest's dog on Christmas day many years ago!
Enjoy the festivities, but please keep your dog and everyone else safe.
They're dogs. They don't 'get' Christmas 👌
And keep faces out of dog's faces! This is when and how most bites occur!!

People may have been wondering where Bella, our 'big yellow dog' friend has been.
Unfortunately, we noticed a while back that Bella was reluctant to weight bear, particularly after lively play sessions. Periods of rest seemed to improve things for a while, and then we were back to square one again 😢 which shouldn't really be happening with a four year old dog.
Anyway, Bella has now been diagnosed with cruciate ligament disease and will need to have surgery, and recovery is a long process.
I've popped to see her this morning, and she was VERY pleased to see me 😍🤣👌🐾
Hopefully, we'll catch up again soon Bella, we miss you 🐾

Trying to explain to Flo that she cannot go into the playroom at the moment, as the boys are playing darts. And that they are in fact, s**t at darts, and I quite like her, so she cannot go in!
