Meet Penny!❤️🐾

Penny is a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel who comes for regular maintenance physiotherapy sessions to support her since having her luxating patella surgery. Penny has a variety of treatments throughout her sessions, including:
- Laser therapy
- Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT)
- Massage therapy
- Heat therapy
- Gentle passive range of motion exercises and stretches
- Targeted remedial exercises, to enhance joint range of motion, increase muscular strength and help to reduce compensations

It's always a pleasure to see this beautiful girl for her sessions! As you can see, she's most definitely mastered the peanut ball 😆💪🐾

Meet Newt!🤍🐾

Newt is a beautiful Greyhound who comes for monthly maintenance sessions to help keep her in top shape! Originally, Newt started her sessions to help manage a condition called Calcinosis Circumscripta. This is an uncommon condition which presents as calcium deposits around a bony area, in Newt's case this presented just above her hock (ankle) joint, which limited the joints range of motion and caused her to alter her gait. Over time, this deposit has decreased in size, and with supportive physiotherapy Newt's compensations have significantly reduced. She is much more comfortable and she lengthens out her stride much better in the effected hindlimb. Well done Newt!

Hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year! ✨

2025 has been one of my busiest years ever! I am so grateful for all of my lovely clients, past, present and future. Thank you to everyone who has supported my business, it's been an absolute pleasure to treat so many lovely animals throughout the past year 🤍 I am so lucky that I get to do what I love for a living every day, thank you all for making my dream of improving animal's wellbeing a reality 🥰
This year has been filled with lots of new faces, familiar faces and sadly some of those who are no longer with us. Every single animal I have treated this year holds a special place in my heart, thank you for trusting me with your best friends 🤍

One of the big milestones for this year was when I held my first stall at the Clarks Farm Greyhound Show this year, which was so much fun and I cannot wait to do more in the future! This was something very much out of my comfort zone - but I loved every minute of it! A special thank you to those who came down to support me on the day 🥹 I was very touched by those who came down to see me! A massive thank you to Steve and everyone at Clark’s Farm for making this such a great day and for always supporting me ❤️

I also thoroughly enjoyed doing lots of CPD this year! I especially loved doing some CPD for physiotherapy treatment on exotic species, and cannot wait to apply what I learnt on this course into real life cases some day.

To finish the year I have also just recently started working at Bluebear Animal Rehabilitation! I am still very new to this role, but I have been welcomed by the loveliest team and enjoy every minute of my job here! This has really been great as I've met so many new animals (and their humans!) and have also been getting back into doing hydrotherapy, which has been amazing!

I also want to say a huge thank you to my amazing parents, partner and family who continue to be my biggest supporters, I wouldn't be where I am now without them! I really am so lucky to be surrounded by the best people 🤍

And thank you to those who spoiled me with the loveliest gifts and cards at Christmas 🤍 I was totally overwhelmed and so grateful for everything 🥰

I look forward to seeing what 2026 brings after a very busy 2025! ✨

Meet Indi 🖤🐾

Indi has regular physiotherapy sessions to assist with his rehabilitation following a rupture of his cruciate ligament. In his sessions, Indi has a variety of treatments, including:
🐾Laser therapy
🐾Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT)
🐾Heat therapy
🐾Massage therapy
🐾Passive range of motion exercises
🐾 Stretching
🐾Remedial exercises (such as poles, weaves, weight shifting exercises, sit to stands, and more!)

As you can see, he really settles into his sessions and LOVES his treatments! 😆 Indi always sleeps through his sessions, he's a super chilled boy and is such a pleasure to treat! He's already making good progress and I look forward to seeing him progress further as time goes on 🤍

Meet the gorgeous Ember! 🤍🐾

Ember has been coming for regular physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions since having her forelimb amputated. Ember was previously a stray, who was found by a member of the public and then brought into Clarks Farm Greyhound Rescue. Ember was taken straight to the vets due to a break in her forelimb, sadly the injury was a few weeks old by the time she was found, so amputation was the best route for Ember. This hasn't stopped Ember! She is one of the happiest dogs I've ever met, and she's now living her best life with her lovely owners Liam and Kelly🤍 Ember has adapted very well to being a tripod, and now receives regular sessions for maintenance to ensure she remains comfortable, maintains her joint mobility and to enhance her strength to support her throughout her life.

Meet the beautiful Amber (featuring her sister Jammers!) 🧡🤍

Amber has been having regular physiotherapy sessions to help manage her lower spine, after x-rays showed some areas of compression in her vertebrae. Amber is feeling much more comfortable now, with both pain relief and regular physiotherapy sessions on board. Amber previously had quite a lot of sensitivity and reactivity throughout the spinal column and surrounding musculature, with spasms in the hindlimb musculature also. As a result of this, Amber's musculature mass was reduced in the lower spine and hindlimbs, with reduced engagement of both hindlimbs. However, Amber is now very comfortable and has regained musculature mass through her spinal and hindlimb musculature, and her co-ordination in the hind is much improved! Amber is very lucky to have such dedicated humans who've been brilliant with ensuring she's comfortable and getting her back to her old self! 🐾 Amber is such a happy girl and enjoys coming for her sessions, and she always takes herself straight to the mat and lies down ready for her treatments! I always love seeing Amber for her monthly sessions 🧡🥰

Meet Ruby!🩶🥰

Ruby is a gorgeous 6-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier who had her initial assessment session yesterday. Ruby has a suspected muscular strain of the Quadriceps in her left hindlimb, after having chased a rabbit. Ruby received both laser and PEMFT onto the sore areas and onto tighter areas from compensations, and carried out some remedial exercises to help her better engage the left hindlimb during movement. Her owner will also be following a home therapy plan to target the discomfort in the Quadriceps, as well as gradually increasing the tone of the musculature (which has reduced in mass due to reduced weight bearing and inefficient use of the limb). I look forward to seeing Ruby progress and to gradually work up to getting her back into agility! She's such a beautiful and loveable girl 🤍🐾
