Meet Ralph! 🩶🐾

Ralph started having physiotherapy sessions earlier this year, after his owner noticed he was sitting with his forelimb in an odd position - as he appears to place more weight into the digits and had reduced weight bearing through the limb.

Ralph has a range of treatments during his sessions, including:
🐾Laser therapy
🐾Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT)
🐾Ultrasound
🐾Massage therapy
➡️These treatments aim to treat areas of sensitivity, tension and to promote even weight bearing between the forelimbs.

Although veterinary diagnostic exams have not determined an exact known cause for Ralph's unusual sit, we have seen improvements so far with physiotherapeutic treatments! Ralph gets very excited for his sessions.. but I think this is because he loves his peanut butter lick mat!😆 It's always lovely to see this gorgeous boy for his sessions🥰

Meet Orquideo! 🤎🐴

Orquideo is a gorgeous horse who I recently had the pleasure of seeing for an initial assessment session. It was so lovely to see him relax into the treatments, and he especially loved the laser therapy followed by a massage! 🥰 Orquideo is currently for sale at Strathburys - He is a breathtaking horse with a lovely temperament - He'll make the perfect partner!

Meet Monaco! 🩶🐴

Monaco recently had an initial assessment session, and he was an absolute pleasure to treat! 🥰 Monaco received a variety of treatments during his session, including:

Isn't he just stunning!? This lovely boy is currently for sale at Strathburys - The person who buys this horse will be incredibly lucky, he is a yard favourite and has the most loveable personality 🥰

Meet Jet! 🖤🐾

Jet is a sweet boy who has regular physiotherapy sessions to help manage pain within his lumbar spine (lower back) and compensations as a result of this discomfort, along with compensations from his corns on multiple digits. His sessions consist of the following treatments:
🖤Laser therapy
🖤Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy (PEMFT)
🖤Massage
🖤Passive Range of Motion Exercises
🖤 Stretching

These treatments work together to:
🖤Reduce pain
🖤Promote joint mobility
🖤Promote even weight bearing

Cassius is a lovely Greyhound who I've recently started to see for regular physiotherapy sessions to help manage his spinal discomfort and general stiffness. Cassius receives a variety of treatments, including:

Meet Penny!❤️🐾

Penny is a gorgeous Cocker Spaniel who comes for regular maintenance physiotherapy sessions to support her since having her luxating patella surgery. Penny has a variety of treatments throughout her sessions, including:
- Laser therapy
- Pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (PEMFT)
- Massage therapy
- Heat therapy
- Gentle passive range of motion exercises and stretches
- Targeted remedial exercises, to enhance joint range of motion, increase muscular strength and help to reduce compensations

It's always a pleasure to see this beautiful girl for her sessions! As you can see, she's most definitely mastered the peanut ball 😆💪🐾

Meet Newt!🤍🐾

Newt is a beautiful Greyhound who comes for monthly maintenance sessions to help keep her in top shape! Originally, Newt started her sessions to help manage a condition called Calcinosis Circumscripta. This is an uncommon condition which presents as calcium deposits around a bony area, in Newt's case this presented just above her hock (ankle) joint, which limited the joints range of motion and caused her to alter her gait. Over time, this deposit has decreased in size, and with supportive physiotherapy Newt's compensations have significantly reduced. She is much more comfortable and she lengthens out her stride much better in the effected hindlimb. Well done Newt!
