☀️ HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS
Dogs can overheat FAST — even in temperatures that feel “fine” to us.
Heatstroke can begin at just 20–23°C, and at 25°C+ many dogs are already at risk, especially flat‑faced breeds, seniors, puppies, and overweight dogs.

🚫 Skip the walk when it’s hot — pavements can hit 50–60°C
If you can’t hold your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for paws.
Heatstroke can develop in minutes, and symptoms escalate quickly: excessive panting, wobbling, bright red gums, vomiting, collapse.

💡 Safe Alternatives to Walks (Enrichment Ideas)
Keep your dog stimulated without risking their health.

Frozen enrichment — frozen Kongs, lick mats, broth cubes, stuffed toys.

Indoor scent games — hide treats around the house or use snuffle mats.

Training sessions — 5–10 minutes of trick training burns mental energy.

Puzzle feeders — slow feeders, DIY cardboard puzzles, treat balls.

Cool‑down play — paddling pools, damp towels, shaded garden sniffing.

Walk early morning or late evening, always carry water, and never leave dogs in cars — even with windows open.
