Keegan's knines Keegans knines is a dog training business in luton,Julie is a behaviourist with 23 years experience. Our puppy & dog classes are in Luton.

Our classes are Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings. We also offer one to one sessions in Luton, Dunstable, Harpenden, Slip end, Caddington and some other parts of Bedfordshire and Herts. Summer special offer

Book a one hour out and about one to one with me and take the session between 7th -21st June and you only pay half price.

Depending on what we are doing we may do the session in a wood, in a field or in the street. We will discuss this before you book.

These will take place near one of our current venues or in the Farley area near our old venue or near our old slip end venue.

Cost £50 paid at the time of booking, no refund once booked, but we can rebook if weather is too hot, or the dog is not well or in season. By booking you will be confirming that you agree to this.

Not suitable for reactive dogs, unless you have or are currently doing reactivity one to ones with me.

This won’t be this price again this year.

These can be taken up to 9pm if need be.

Evening one to ones are now available after 6- 15 pm. This might help if you work during the day.

No sessions on a Sunday.

Just a reminder to wear sensible shoes for classes. Shoes that have a strap on, as we don’t want your shoes coming off when you run backwards or forwards and landing up injured.

You can always change once you get back in the car. Think safety. Remember sometimes we will be outside now weather is nice and the ground is not even.

Remember when it’s hot like it is today, it’s safer to miss the walk.

Yes your dog can go in the garden when they choose, but they should also have the option to go back indoors too. Some dogs are sun worshippers, so put them under a gazebo to protect them from the sun, but do not tie them up. Give them the option to go back indoors when they want to .

Use a cool coat if you have one, a kids paddling pool and drinking water.

Some lead walking tips.

Don’t give the dog too much slack on the lead. Aim for a small J in the lead, as in this photo.

Don’t have a tight lead.

Reward the dog in the correct position you want the dog to be in.

Stop walking if the dog pulls,set the dog up and start again.

Start in a quiet location without distractions, I.e in your home. Then take it out and about.

Practice every time the lead is on and be consistent.

Use a lead, not a retractable.

Need help, we offer one to one loose lead walking sessions out and about or one to one home sessions. You will only need one session, if you carry on after the lesson doing what we teach you. Dogs get it quickly!

One to one with this gorgeous boy. His owners called me because he resource guards and is afraid to leave the house, so we addressed both.

I had already given the owner some things to do to get the dog out, but they needed that bit more help, so as we were dealing with resource guarding at his home, we worked on getting him out first. He did a great job and after a few goes wanted to keep going out for me and his owner.
