Yesterday laddy and misty went to the Readyfield Bloodhounds novice meet! Misty was an absolute legend of a pony and I let my friend Lexi Talbot take her round! Laddy on the other hand just found it all far too exciting and starting running backwards and spinning…. Due to my back not being fully healed yet I just didn’t want to risk coming off again and decided that it wasn’t our day so we pulled out early. Normally I would of been really disheartened but I wasn’t at all because sometimes it’s okay If you or your horse isn’t feeling it when you get there and at least we gave it a go! Thank you to the kind person for legging me back up on to him and for being so kind 🤎

Harry also came in yesterday to try and tame his very long and wild mane with a new plait I’m trying to learn🤣 not quite there yet but we’re getting it! After admiring how handsome he was I really wanted to sit on him for the first time after falling off so decided to hop on ba****ck and do some desensitising with him. It’s safe to say if you accidentally sit on him backwards (which I hope no one does that😬🤣) then you will be absolutely fine because he didn’t even turn to look at what I was doing 🤣 I was definitely glad to be back behind those ginger ears 🥰

So yesterday laddy and misty had a much deserved day off however the thought of doing nothing horsey was terrifying so I decided to drag my sisters TB hero in and give him a lunge and have a sit on him In walk and trot. He lunged absolutely beautifully especially in canter! I’ve never seen him go round so relaxed and happy! I’ve only ever sat and walked round really on him so thought I’d brave a trot and I actually surprised myself and quite enjoyed riding him! I’m not normally a horse or thoroughbred type of person I much prefer ponies and natives but he felt surprisingly safe considering I was further from the ground🙈🤣 hero is quite green in the school especially when it come to steering but it’s actually made me realise I could work on him on laddy and mistys days off to give me something to focus on and for him to do more work when my sister is away! Anyways enjoy the photo dump of me looking like a tiny pea on a giant hero 😁🥹

Laddy and misty went out to beacon hill yesterday! I rode lads whilst my sister Chloe Blowfield rode mist! She’s lost a little confidence so I thought misty is the best one to help someone with that as she’s a brilliant confidence giver and that was the reason I added her to my family because when you have those tough days with confidence she listens and looks after you from start to finish🥰 we only did some walk and Trot but they where so behaved and I actually felt really confident on laddy for a canter since I’ve been nervous with falling off because of my back, so fingers crossed next time I’m in an open field we can go for a nice steady canter! They are both having a much deserved day off today 💕 oh and I also figured out that misty only likes travelling with laddy as she loads first time everytime when he’s in there it’s only when she’s on her own she takes three hours to load 🙈🤣

Took laddy up to burrow hill today! I’ll be openly honest I felt quite nervous to begin with and was really tense. I think the mixture of the wind, all the gates we had to open, cows in the field and steep hills while spooking was just a little too much for me today. But it also made me realise I need to stop pressuring myself so much. It’s okay if we don’t canter. It’s okay if we don’t jump. It’s okay If we don’t do much trotting and it’s okay to feel more worried than usual if your horse keeps spooking. Not every ride is going to be amazing! And when I told myself that, the last part of the ride was so much more fun and we could relax and do much more trot work and road work which he was absolutely amazing at! I’m sure we will be back to our confidence in no time with lots of patience and no pressure 🤎

Took misty on her first solo hack yesterday!!! I was so proud of her, we had some lovely canters in the field and she wasn’t strong at all! She had busses, lorries, road works and all sorts on the road and she was absolutely hoof perfect! We did have a moment going past the petrol station where she really spooked and kept spinning trying to bolt but I managed to luckily bring her back!!! I’m so proud how confident I was doing it considering how spooky she can be on her own! 🤎

Today we headed back up to Tara and Riley’s yard to have another wonderful ride with a cheeky pub stop! We did some open field work today in walk to get laddy to respect and have some manners again as after hunting him last season he’s started to tank off in fields and get a little too excited for my liking so we are working towards getting that lovely calm canter through fields again on our hacks! He did have a few head flicks and jogs as he was not pleased to be held back but towards the end after a few trots with no running off he settled down beautifully like how he used to be which I was so relieved by! We also led on the roads which was absolutely brave of laddy! I can’t believe how much fun I’m having at the moment and can’t wait for our next adventure with them! ❤️

Laddy had a trip out to beacon hill yesterday with another lovely lady and her pony who we met! He was an absolute dude and we did lots of trot work and hill work to get him a little more fit and working that bum! He led the whole way bless him however got a little speedy that he kept leaving our new friend behind 🤣🥰

Took misty out today on a hack in the trailer and she was amazing! We did walk,trot and some canter and even a little gallop at one point! She was foot perfect and led the whole time babysitting and giving confidence to her new friend! However she did take like 2 to 3 hours to load back on the trailer because she clearly enjoyed it that much and didn’t want to go home 🤣🤣 it was absolutely lovely meeting Tara and her lovely pony riley and I’m so overwhelmed on how many people actually messaged and contacted me after my post about looking for friends to ride with! So far I’ve met some lovely people and can’t wait to meet more! That’s two days in a row now we’ve been out in the trailer and we will now untill next week so super busy! 🥰🤩

Well after a few weeks off after fracturing my coccyx from a fall riding I’m back on! I was supposed to wait anywhere between 6 to 12 weeks and it’s been 2…… but do us horse women really listen to those silly rules 🤣 I felt absolutely fine to be honest other then when we had a couple of little spooks and it jolted me! We only did some walk and trot through fields and some woodlands as of course laddy has had time off too because of it and didn’t want to rush Anything! He was as good as gold bless him even if he was a little bit of a drama queen at times 🙈🥰🤎

I also got to meet a lovely girl called Tamsin Beardsley and her lovely pony Sam! She reached out to me on my fb post about looking for more horsey friends too ride with! I also got some more experience driving my trailer on my own with no passengers to stop me from panicking the whole way for a 45 min drive there and back and I actually felt relaxed! So all in all it was a good pony day 🤩

Well all the ponies came in last night ready for the winter! It’s safe to say they where extremely happy about it as usual! Laddy and misty are such strange ponies as they would much prefer to be in at night than out🤣 they’ve been out every night through the summer and was hoping to wait till the 1st of November like usual but they started standing at the gate as it’s got colder and I always listen to them when they tell me their ready to come in 🙈 hero on the other hand just follows the crowed as he won’t be out alone but deep down despises the fact he has to have more human contact god forbid 🤣🤣 and this is Harry’s first winter with me but he settled straight down last night so I’m hoping it will be a breeze! 4 horses is a lot to keep on top off in winter but I’m definitely looking forward to it and always have a slightly warmer feeling in my heart knowing they are all warm and tucked in at night now 🙈
