This beautiful big teddy bear came in for his first puppy groom today and what a star he was!⭐️ Was so chilled out that he just lay down while having his blow dry💆🏼♂️ Can you believe he’s only 3 and a half months old! He’s going to be a big boy😍
It’s so important to take your puppies for a introductory puppy groom as soon as you can (when they’ve had all their vaccinations) because you want them to enjoy coming to have a pamper and the younger they are the easier it is for them to get used to the grooming process.
There’s a few things you can do at home to help get them ready for their first grooming experience!
🐾 Get them used to brushes and combs by gently using them all over their bodies including face and feet. Using enrichment toys such as licki mats can help with this process.
🐾 Play with your puppies paws and stroke their legs, look in their eyes and ears and get them used to you holding their face. This prepares them for the groomers handling them when trimming/clipping
🐾 Make sure they are socialising - the more experiences your puppy has with strangers tue more relaxed they will be when at the groomers
