Terms and Conditions 2023!

Appointment and cancellations

Booking appointments is highly recommended in advance to avoid disappointment. Certain dog breeds should attend on a regular basics to avoid them becoming matted.

Cancellations- can I ask for the minimum of 24 hours notice to change your appointment. If you fail to do this I will have to charge the full cost before another appointment will be offered.

Matted dogs
It’s very important to brush your dogs in between grooms. If your dog becomes matted and we have to clip their coat short. We do this because it can be distressing and painful for your dog to have matted fur combed out.
Additional costs will be added as this is not a standard groom.
This process takes much longer and can damage equipment therefore I will have to charge additional cost starting from £5 plus.

Fleas.
Please do not bring your dog if you suspect it might have fleas. These things happen and we will be more than happy to reschedule your appointment for you.

Please can I ask you be on time for your appointment. If you are running late can you let me know ASAP so I know your on the way!
If you are more than 20 minutes late I will have to reschedule your appointment as I will not have enough time to groom your dog.

Little accidents!
Can I ask you to toilet your dog before coming to avoid any mishaps in the salon.

June is almost fully booked I have only the odd few appointments left now.

Il be taking a break in July so I’m very limited on appointments for the remainder of that month.

So please get your dogs booked in ASAP to avoid disappointment.
The weather is warming up now, so please don’t leave it as I won’t have time to squeeze any in.

Why brushing your dog is so important 🐶

1. Severely matted coats cannot simply be 'brushed out'. Yes, a few matts that are not matted to skin can be brushed out, but sever matting means shaving. There is not an option to 'leave the coat fluffy' because clipper blades must pass under matts not through them. This often means a very short shave.
2. When the coat is severely matted, often referred to as pelted, the coat cannot properly regulate body temperature. Both canines and felines use thermoregulation to keep the body cool or warm depending on the weather. This means the body struggles much harder to maintain normal temperature.
3. Matted coats are almost always accompanied by some type of skin disease. Matting holds excess moisture and bacteria and/or fungus near the skin. As the natural microbiome is decreased, the skin becomes susceptible to infection from these diseases.
4. Matted coats are painful and that's a fact. The extra weight pulls on the skin causing discomfort. When matting is present around legs, ears, or tail, proper movement can become impeded and painful. This is why we term this 'neglectful abuse'. This type of matting does not occur overnight.

If your pet's coat has gotten out of control, contact your professional groomer NOW. The longer you wait, the worse it will be and the more the pet suffers.

2023 prices❗️
There is a slight increase in some prices this year. This will depend on how long you are leaving in between grooms, your dogs coat condition and size & disposition of your dog.
A full groom will now start from £35 for small dogs and go up according to size and type of coat.
A revised price list will follow soon 🥰

Why is it important to groom a dog?

Brushing your dog ventilates their coat, helping it grow healthy and strong and takes away old and damaged hair. Grooming also ensures that your dog's skin can breathe and keeps down the level of grease in their coat. Too much grease can block pores and cause irritation and all sorts of skin problems.

If you dogs coat becomes severely matted and needs to be shaved, additional costs will be added as this is not a standard groom.

Just a reminder for my cancellation policy.

I do ask if you can give me at least 24 hours notice before cancelling your appointment. This gives me enough time to offer this appointment to another customer.

If enough notice isn’t given 50% of the groom price will be charged before another appointment will be offered.
If you do not show up or forget I will have to charge the full grooming price.

Please be mindful I’m a small business and I’m turning away new customers for simply not having enough appointments available for everyone.

Hi all Ive had lots of messages regarding appointments as soon as possible.

I have the odd availability in February its looking more towards March now for availability.
I would advise when you come to collect your dog to book your next appointment then to avoid waiting longer to get in.

Also there are some prices changes from January this depends on how often your dog is groomed, there size and coat condition. 🐶🦮🐕‍🦺
