The children have been to baby sing and sign today and each got their certificates. We had lots of fun and learnt lots of signs 🥰

We have had another lovely week. We’ve decorated sun catchers, revived a leaf cuter bee, the children were so good keeping calm and gentle as we gave the bee some sugar syrup and watched it rest and drink, Wendy explained to the children why leave cutters bees are so important and how they worked. 🐝

The children made their own lunch which was cheese scones and wow they did taste and smell amazing, they really did go down a treat. X

This afternoons bakes we made cheese and onion bread, they smelled and tasted lovely!

Went on a lovely walk today and the children did lots of foraging and blackberry eating 😂
We found elderberry, damsons, blackberries, acorns. We did also spy some rosehips and hawthorns nicely growing too.

Today the children made crab apple and blackberry jam which they had picked on one of our walks.

Also abit late prior to moving house we also made Plantain and lavender salve for cuts, grazes and stings a few weeks back. Thank you Wendy for sharing your recipe x

We have had a busy morning, we had a lovely nature walk spotted lots of different flowers, butterfly’s, heard grass hoppers. We have eaten and picked lots of blackberries! Even the baby’s thoroughly enjoyed them. We had lots of purple fingers and mouths 😂😂😂 .

Guess what we will be making next week!! 😆

We have been learning about life cycles over the past few weeks, we’ve watched our caterpillars change into butterflies and we let them go this week, the children where so gentle and were able to hold a butterfly before it took off 🥰 our fairy strawberries are beginning to grow too. We’ve spotted swans with their signets on our walk along the canal.

We have had a busy week with a treat to mighty monsters, and play group.

Important Safety Warning for Parents:

A recent BBC article has highlighted a dangerous TikTok trend that has seen several children hospitalised.

The trend involves young people using tiny magnetic balls as fake tongue piercings - placing them on either side of the tongue to mimic a piercing. Swallowing more than one magnet can be life-threatening, causing serious internal injuries within hours.

These small magnets can rip through intestines, leading to emergency surgery and, in some cases, long-term damage.

Please speak to your children about the serious risks of putting magnets - or any small objects - in or near their mouths. Keep these items well out of reach of younger children.

If you suspect your child has swallowed a magnet, call 999 immediately or go straight to A&E.

What a busy couple of weeks it’s been!

We have, painted flags for VE Day,
Our caterpillars arrived and we have been carefully observing them watching them grow, they are now hanging ready to chrysalis. This is going to be so exciting to watch for the children!!

We have played with play dough and made dandelion muffins which tasted amazing!

The children made some great filo pizzas today, ages ( 23months - 4years) how amazing are they, they looked and smelled lovely. The children most definitely enjoyed these, both making and eating them 😂
