This month’s articles feature a fantastic mix of voices from across the dog community — including Paul, creator of Pup & A Way, Jodie from Phin and Paddle Pool and Shop*; and Amber from Wag and Wash*, who shares her journey of starting her own grooming business.

We also hear from Tanya and Chester about the process of becoming a therapy dog, while our resident dog training expert, Kate from *inspiring tails*, returns to answer your questions. 🐶

Hello All!

We just wanted to confirm that Saturday’s group dog walk from Mobley’s Meadow will still be going ahead as scheduled, leaving the field at 1.30pm.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the temperatures throughout the week, and our cutoff point for walks is 23°C.

At the moment, the forecast is sitting around 22–23°C, so we feel comfortable that the walk can safely go ahead as planned. If this changes at all we will get in touch with you.

That said, we completely understand that some dogs are more sensitive to warmer weather and sunshine. If you would prefer to cancel your ticket, we completely understand, it's been a scorcher of a week!

To help keep everyone comfortable, we’ll be making regular stops along the route, and we strongly recommend that everyone brings extra water for both themselves and their dog.

A reminder also to use the directions to the start of the walk via What 3Words : Cornering.Twist.Speared. Parking will be in the mowed field to the left as you come into the entrance so please leave your low sports cars at home.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday for what is a gorgeous circular and the usual post walk puppacino's will be available as well.

There are still some limited spaces left so if you do know of anyone who wishes to join us here is the link 😉 https://linktr.ee/tailsonthetrailsdogwalking

Best wishes,
Tails on the Trails

It’s another bank holiday and half term for the kids — the perfect excuse for more adventures with your dog and family! 🐾☀️

Looking for somewhere new to explore? How about the stunning Malvern Hills. With spectacular views, beautiful ridge walks and plenty of places to stop along the way, it’s a fantastic day out for both two and four-legged walkers.

Our route includes a stop at the dog-friendly The Wyche Inn 🍺🐾 and even a trig point to tick off 📍

Take a look at the full walk here:

When we visited, the hills were covered in snow — very different to the sunshine forecast this week! If you’d like to see the greener side of the Malverns, check out The Maple Tails submission on Pup & A Way:

“If your advertising is made with AI, I won’t be coming.”

People — and dogs — are craving genuine experiences, real community, and meaningful social interaction, not perfectly polished marketing designed to look “Instagram ready.”

That’s why our group walks are about more than just exercise.

They’re about muddy paws, friendly conversations, happy dogs, beautiful countryside, local venues, and building a real community together.

At Tails on the Trails, we love supporting local cafés, pubs, and countryside venues by bringing people and their dogs together in relaxed, welcoming spaces.

No filters.
No fake perfection.
Just real dogs, real people, and real moments.
Because authentic community will always matter more than artificial marketing.

If you’d like to join us on a future walk, meet other local dog owners, and explore the countryside together, send us a message or click the link in our bio — we’d love to welcome you and your dog along. https://linktr.ee/tailsonthetrailsdogwalking

Lovely walk from lock29.banbury yesterday, great to show support for the new wanderbarpics (we do love a pint of Alpacalypse) and helped Smash Cow sink a few of their £5 birthday cheeseburgers too 🍔

I’ll get a reel of the pictures sorted in the next day or so but in the meantime if you have any pictures from the walk please tag, email, WhatsApp etc them across!

We hope to return with another walk from Lock 29 soon! 🐾🐾

Today’s charity group dog walk supporting Dementia Oxfordshire was a prime example of what happens when communities come together. ❤️🫶🏻

We had a wonderful dog walk around Adderbury, there was a photo ring, a raffle, cakes, the walk and puppacinos, what more could someone want from a Saturday.

Lots of companies and donations came together to support the charity and big thanks to all the volunteers. In particular inspiring tails , , , amongst many others .

Time to re set for our group walk tomorrow now - leaving from lock29.banbury at 1045AM and the usual free post walk Puppacino’s on our return to lock 29.
