Dogs played a vital role during World War II?

While soldiers fought on the front lines, thousands of dogs were right there beside them—trained, trusted, and incredibly brave.

🐶 War dogs had important jobs like:
• Carrying messages across dangerous ground
• Detecting mines and hidden explosives
• Acting as guard dogs to protect camps and soldiers
• Searching for injured soldiers and staying with them until help arrived

Some even parachuted into war zones.

These weren’t just dogs… they were lifelines. ❤️

Did you know when your dog does a full body shake… it’s a bit like a human letting out a big sigh? 😌🐕

That classic head-to-tail shake isn’t just about drying off — it’s actually a way for dogs to release tension and reset themselves.

You might notice your dog shake after:
🐾 A stressful moment
🐾 Meeting another dog
🐾 Training or learning something new
🐾 Getting a bit overexcited

It’s their way of saying, “Okay… I’m good now!”

This is known as a displacement behaviour, and it’s completely normal. In fact, it’s a great sign your dog is able to regulate their emotions.

So next time your dog has a good shake, don’t worry — they’re just having their own little reset moment 💛🐾

Saint Francis of Assisi is known as the patron saint of animals and is famous for his love, kindness, and respect towards all creatures — including our dogs.
