How cold is 'too cold' for a dog walk? ❄️

Any temperature below -4 degrees Celsius is generally considered dangerous for dogs of all shapes and sizes as they are at risk of developing frostbite or hypothermia.

But, there are still ways to enjoy the beautiful snowy weather!

Here are our top tips for wintry dog walks:

⌛ Shorten walks to 15 – 20 minutes to avoid the coldest effects
🧤 Give them a barrier from the cold with dog jackets, jumpers, boots or socks
🔎 Check for any signs of shivering, stiffness when walking or pale gums to prevent hypothermia
☀️ Go on walks during the day when it is warmer
🐾 Wipe their paws clean after every walk..And don't forget to wrap up warm yourself!

Now you and your pup are ready to brave the cold on your walk ☃️
