A few minutes ago, Jack Ernest Worthing Hughey died in his mummy’s arms. He lived 17 wonderful years. He will always be in her heart and many others. This is the last photo his Mummy took of him a day or two ago.

Mummy is having a tough time, so I have been busy taking care of her. I’m feeling okay and eating and drinking well. Mummy lost someone she cared a lot about today, so I am making she she is safe and not too sad. My friend Alyce also came for a nice visit today. Sometimes Alyce comes over when Mum goes away.

We got bad news today. The fluid in my chest this weekend came back showing serious cancer. I’m feeling okay right now, but my mummy will be keeping me comfortable at home until it’s time for me to cross the rainbow bridge. We don’t know when that will be, but probably weeks. Mum told me I will get to meet some awesome cats on the other side and wait for her in a warm, happy place until she comes to meet me.

I’m out of the hospital! I’m pretty wobbly from the medicine right now, but feeling better. Mummy got some medicine for me for the next week or so, and I will go see a cardiologist and my internal medicine doctor soon to follow up. I am glad to be back at home.

Don’t panic, but mum brought me to the hospital today. I was breathing kind of hard so she brought me into the ER. I had some fluid in my chest. The doctors put me in an oxygen chamber and I felt a lot better already. Then they drained about 200cc of fluid from my chest. I’m feeling okay tonight and hoping to go home tomorrow. They are sending the fluid to the lab to be tested. Please send me good vibes!
