Julia first joined CareDogs back in 2022, with her cockapoo Obi, as a befriender volunteer and hasn't looked back since! Julia brings a wealth of hands-on experience, compassion, and CareDogs cheer to the role. Welcome to the pack, Julia! 💚🐕🐾

Joey is our April, CareDog of the Month! 💚 Joey has been volunteering with us since he was adopted by our Charity Manager, Kate, back at the start of 2024. He has two befriending clients and regularly attends our community walks 🐾

Here's a little more about our former street rescue, Joey:

🐕‍🦺 My ideal day would involve...A long walk, with lots of sniffing and maybe even a stick or two, followed by a nice long snooze!

🍖 My favourite treat is...CHEESE!

🤩 Scratch me here, please: My belly and bum!

✨ My life motto is...One can never go for too many W-A-L-K-I-E-S!

Our Strictly Come Walking group had a walk with a difference today - with some lovely furry friends! 33 members and carers turned up to walk in the chilly sun around Lloyd Park.

Thank you so much to CareDogs for bringing along their brilliant volunteers and friendly dogs! We all had a wonderful time and will see you soon :)

Our group walks are a great way to build connections, community, and friendship. It's an opportunity for our clients & volunteers to meet other people in their local area whilst enjoying gentle exercise, the company of our CareDogs, and being outdoors in green spaces. We love seeing new friendships being formed 💚🌱☀️

We welcomed the Men's Mental Health in Action group from South East London Mind charity for a gentle, peaceful stroll around Norman Park with our CareDogs and volunteers. It was lovely to see members talking with each other as well as with our volunteers - with the sun even making an appearance towards the end ☀️💚🐕
