🌍🐾 Exciting News! 🐾🌍
Back in October, we received the fantastic news that our charity nomination had been accepted for a donation!

We were thrilled to let Blankets for Baby Rhinos know that the funds were on their way. This incredible charity does vital conservation work, and the donation will go towards building much-needed new kennels in the north of the park, as well as supporting the training of anti-poaching dogs in Kruger National Park. 💚🐕‍🦺🦏

Additionally we fund operations such as snare removals or emergency relocation of animals that find themselves outside of the national parks and in danger.

What is Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)? Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) happens when germs like bacteria become resistant to the medicines we use to treat infections. AMR means medicines, such as antibiotics, don’t work as well as they should and sometimes, they won’t work at all. AMR makes it harder to fight off diseases and infections, which can make our pets sick for longer. In some cases, a pet may not recover at all.

🐾 Little Olive absolutely stole our hearts last week! 🐾
This sweet Chihuahua × Mini Pinscher came in to see Martin for her dental treatment. As a little rescue, she’s truly landed on her feet — and we wanted to make sure her day with us felt as safe and comfortable as possible.
We do everything we can to help pets feel settled during their stay — from familiar toys and bedding, to personalised comforts like the cosy space and special treats Olive brought from home, and sometimes even using medication comfort packs to help ease nerves.
Olive did brilliantly — she was an absolute star ⭐🥰

Calling all clients - our vet practice is taking part in The Animal Medicines Amnesty and we need your support. Everyone has a role to both use and dispose of veterinary medicines responsibly to protect pet and human wellbeing, and the health of the environment. That’s why we are taking part in The Animal Medicines Amnesty to make sure unused medicines are disposed of safely. Getting involved is easy. Check to see if you have any out-of-date or unused pet medications at home. If so, simply return them to our veterinary practice for safe disposal. Pet medicines should never be disposed of in household waste as this can contaminate the environment. They shouldn’t be kept for future use on pets either as this can result in dangerous side effects.

Last week we met Frank, an adorable 3-month-old Jack Russell pup who’s already mastered the art of mischief and gorgeous-ness! 💛

With his curious nature, boundless energy, and irresistible little face, Frank had everyone at the clinic smiling from ear to ear. We have a feeling this little explorer is going to keep his family (and us!) on our toes for years to come. 🐶✨
