Help! We need more kitten food!

We recently posted asking for kitten food and we were lucky enough to receive quite a few deliveries, however, we are running out again and we really need some help to stock up. We currently have 37 kittens in our care which is a lot of hungry little mouths to feed and our supplies are being used up so fast!

If you are able to send a box or two our way, it would be a huge help. You can send donations via our Amazon Wishlist here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3ABU8BJCGDU8P?ref_=wl_share or drop them into our reception.

Thank you!

Earlier this year, our petrol powered strimmer was sadly stolen from our site. We've been making use of a less powerful, electric one for the past few months when the weather was cold, but now we are heading into summer it is not enough to keep up with the amount of grounds maintenance we need which means our dog paddocks and field are getting very overgrown.

We have approached a few companies but we have not had any luck in securing a donation of a new one, and it's not something we have the budget to buy right now as we are right in the swing of kitten season and we need to focus all our funds on animal care costs.

If anybody has a spare strimmer lying around that they could donate, it would be a huge help - please pop it into our reception.

Thank you!

Look who landed on our doorstep today! Meet Goose, a 12 week old, adorable bundle of love who has sadly found himself needing a new home.

He has instantly stolen the hearts of everyone who has met him and he is slowly starting to settle in. We have offered him an array of tasty treats and meals and so far, he is absolutely loving his Forthglade Puppy wet food , he's been gobbling it up in no time at all. As he's a growing boy, he's going through about 3 trays a day and we only have a couple of boxes in our supply of donations, so if anyone would like to help keep Goose's bowl topped up, we have added them to the top of our Amazon Wishlist, here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3ABU8BJCGDU8P?ref_=wl_share

Keep an eye on our page for more updates on Goose's rescue journey, and if you're worried about such a young pup being in kennels, there's no need, this lucky boy is heading home with one of the team for foster care until he is ready to find his forever home!

Keith and Errol are still patiently waiting for a loving home, after being found abandoned in a bin at just 6 weeks old, and defeating the odds by surviving Coronavirus, Parvovirus, and FIP! These little warriors have been through so much in their short lives already, but now they are now healthy enough to be adopted! Could their happy ever after be with you? 😻

If you would be interested in rehoming this sweet pair, you can apply and view their full profile on our website: www.nawt.org.uk/rehoming/animal/10668/

With this sudden heatwave, we're struggling to keep all the kennels and catteries cool so we're in need of some new fans. We've added it to our Amazon Wishlist if anyone is able to send us one, or if you have a spare at home you can donate, please just drop it off at the centre.

We have also added a portable air conditioning unit to the list, it's an expensive purchase, we know, but if anyone is in a position to share such generosity it would really make a big difference as it is so hard keeping the temperatures down here during summer.

You can find our Amazon Wishlist here - https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/3ABU8BJCGDU8P?ref_=wl_share

This we asked our friends at Wisdom Panel to give us an insight into Titch, a little dog who came into our centre earlier this year and has since found a loving home.

So, we thought it might be a fun idea to let our supporters have a go at guessing Titch’s breed mix. Can you guess the 5 breeds that equal 1 Titch? Yes, you read that right, there are 5 different breeds in Titch’s DNA, see if you can guess correctly in the comments below 👇

We met this beautiful boy called Roger today. Roger is currently in training to be a Medical Detection Dog and Paul and Helen, the volunteers who have been working with him, brought him in to give us a very insightful talk about the incredible work dogs like Roger do.

Thank you so much to Paul, Helen and Roger for coming in, we encourage everyone to look into the fascinating things Medical Detection Dogs are doing, you can find out more about them here - https://www.medicaldetectiondogs.org.uk/

We found little Amber in a carrier by our gates at the end of last year, with a note inside asking us to look after her. We are happy to see that she has settled into her new home very quickly after being rehomed in February!
