Art vs Artist 2024!

It's been a challenging year this year but I'm pleased with the work I got out and really want to thank each and every one of you for your support.

I tried to focus on learning new skills and methods this year and I hope keep that going through 2025! I'm also aware that I didn't release everything that I did make this year so keep an eye out for that in the near future!

With things winding down for the holidays I hope you're all well and that we all have a great new year.

Slay ride - Seasonal Shoggoth - Available now!

Belief, is an inherent part of humanity. Would we have made it as far as a species without it? Yes, what a silly question, but belief is still important nonetheless.

We wanted to see what would happen if we surrounded a Shoggoth with the pro Santa propaganda. It was believed that if we could imbue one of our creatures with the altruistic kindness and love associated with family and gift giving, that we might create a being of utmost philanthropy.

The innate gluttony of the Protoplasmic monster instead took precedent and we created an insatiable appetite with a very Christmassy exterior. No poultry, sprouts nor brightly coloured wrapping is safe from Slay Ride's jaws.

At least it makes the boxing day cleanup far easier.

Slay Ride is cast is polyurethane rubber and resin and is limited to only 2 pieces. Small parts make this not suitable for Children.

FIJI MERMAID AVAILABLE NOW!

From time to time, a legend or myth is exactly that, fiction. For every Bigfoot or Chicken man of Loch Lomond that is found to be factual, there are a dozen creatures with no evidence that must be written off as mere folk tales.

In the distant past, a man stitched a capuchin to a tuna and sold it as a mermaid. It delighted crowds despite its rudimentary appearance, birthing hopes and stories amongst its audience.

Though our aim has always been research and knowledge, the Fiji Mermaid marks the first time that we intend to create and release a new species into the wild. We will of course benefit from their stewardship of the oceans and the knowledge that they will feed back to the Foundry but primarily, the Fiji mermaid is our gift to the world.

The Fiji Mermaid is made from SLA Resin and each piece is hand painted and individually numbered. It measures roughly 120mm from head to tail with an arm span of around 110mm. The arms are magnetized for poseability and ease of postage.

The base is made from Birch faced poplar ply and Brass rod with a rowmark plaque and velour base to stop it from scratching your shelves. The piece is not mounted to the base.

Pond Scum! Project Kraken RogueBot

Created in an attempt to upgrade our Deep01 Units, making them more suited for warmer climes, what was set to be Deep02 has led to the first (and hopefully last) RogueBot!

An entity entirely untethered from our networks, the beast we call Pond Scum stalks the Amazon rainforest in search of prey. It's amphibious from making it an apex predator in both terrestrial and aquatic environments.

Despite its heavy iron frame, the beast seems to move soundlessly. Despite dispatching our most capable operatives to attempt to bring the create home, we simply get reports of eyes piercing the gloom before only static and silence.

Left to its own devices, Pond Scum seems rather protective of its new home, attempting to remove trespassers rather than causing any harm to the flora, fauna or native tribes.

Though we have lost what could have been a valuable asset, we have decided that this was a victory for conservation and definitely what we always intended all along... definitely.

Pond Scum is an art toy created from SLA Resin, LEDs, Neodymium magnets and Steel Bearings.

It has almost a 180⁰ field of movement in both arms and light up eyes when powered by a 3v coin battery concealed in the chest. Magnets hold the Arm joints and torso in place.

SHIP SHAPE

At the Feral Foundry, we pride ourselves in only the most responsible disposal methods of failed or deceased test subjects.

Either through inhuman error or espionage, a few samples appear to have slipped through the cracks and entered the British channel, the appearance of so called "Ghost Ships" have become too numerous to ignore and therefore we must make a statement.

The Shoggoth known as "Ship Shape" resembles the smashed hulk of a large ship, melding elements of Steam ships and older tea clippers. It is believed that the proto organism may have discovered wrecks on the seafloor and decided to emulate them without a proper understanding of marine engineering.

The attempted capture of these vessels is not recommended, simply sacrifice what you can into it's endless maw and move on, safe in the knowledge that it will be apprehended and safely contained...at some later date...in the future...probably.

SHIP SHAPE is cast from polyurethane rubber with resin eyes. All eyes glow in the dark, as do the bodies of the GHOST SHIP SHAPE variants. These may contain small parts and are not intended for children.

Ever since the birth of Project Kraken, deployment of operatives into the field has been an ongoing difficulty. Cryptids by nature are spread far and getting robots out there has been almost as dangerous a a mission as studying and cataloguing the creatures themselves.

Due to ongoing diplomatic relations with the subterranean empire of the Mole People, this is a problem of the past!

The Project Kraken M0LEs are based upon the Mole People themselves, of course being a Project Kraken Robot, these are piloted by a Shoggoth and have the added bonus of arcane technology!

The Prospectors see through an electromagnetic array feeding directly into the pilot, granting sight beyond sight, allowing them to feed instructions into the Scout units to further the tunnels of the Mole People in a quick and discreet manner and allow us a more direct route to research sites.

Each piece is made from SLA resin and hand painted with glow in the dark eyes. Contains a battery holder for a 3v coin battery and held together with Neodymium magnets.

I've been damn quiet on here this year. It's not from lack of projects and the foundry is very much still going, but documentation and advertising has been at the back of my mind.

More cryptid robots are on the way and I'm hoping to get back to Shoggoths with something a little different but in my same handcrafted style, so that should be here by winter.

Project Kraken is a costly endeavour and we realized early on that human workers were a real liability.

Shoggoths and Robots are not clean creatures by nature and it both are subject to frequent breakdowns that are far beyond the scope of what humans can safely see to.

The Bobbit Class were introduced to solve this problem. With modular umbilical attachments, these robots can be despatched to deal with almost any issue and survive to clean up afterwards.

Each piece is made from SLA resin and hand painted with glow in the dark eyes. Each Bobbit comes with a selection of 3 different magnetized arms to deal with whatever you throw at it.

Hopper may have small parts and is not intended for young children.
