🐾 Meeting Points vs Door-to-Door Delivery 🐾

We are often asked why DL Pet Transport doesn’t offer meeting point collections and deliveries for commercial pet movements.

The answer is simple.

For rescue dogs, rescue cats, puppies travelling to new owners and other commercial movements, we believe animals should be transported directly to the destination stated on the paperwork.

This provides:

✅ Clear handover records
✅ Reduced stress for the animal
✅ Greater accountability throughout the journey
✅ Peace of mind for rescues, breeders and owners

While meeting points may seem more convenient, our focus has always been on compliance, welfare and ensuring every pet reaches its intended destination safely.

Currently crawling along the city bypass on the way to Harrogate with a very important passenger on board. This wee VIP has just flown in from the USA 🇺🇸 and is now on the final leg of the journey home.

The skies might be blue, but the traffic certainly isn’t moving! 🚐😹

🐾 Janet’s Journey Home 🐾

Yesterday afternoon we collected Janet in Dundee and began her journey south through Scotland, across the Irish Sea and on to County Kerry.

After a comfortable overnight journey in one of our climate-controlled cat suites, complete with bedding, food, water and litter tray, Janet arrived safe and well at her new home today. ❤️🐱

At DL Pet Transport Services we know long-distance pet transport is about more than getting from A to B. Every journey is planned around the comfort, welfare and safety of the animals in our care, with regular checks and plenty of attention along the way.

It’s always a pleasure to see a happy handover at the end of a journey.
