📣 Help Wanted 📣

We have an exciting opportunity for dog owners to help students with behavioural consults and treatment plans.

We are looking for 2 owners and their dogs to come to University Centre Reaseheath on Fridays, from October to February. These behaviour consults will be conducted under my supervision (Karen Ingram, full member of the APBC and registered ABTC Clinical Animal Behaviourist) and Rebecca Partoon (full-time lecturer at University College Reaseheath).

The cost for this will be £300, which may be reclaimable through the owners insurance if it covers behaviour. Owners will also have access to additional support outside of the college with a rehab trainer who will follow the treatment plan; these extra sessions will be at an additional cost.

Please note that we are unable to accept cases involving dog-to-human aggression, but we welcome all other behavioural concerns.

Join our team - Full Time Apprentice OR Part Time Fully Qualified Groomer Wanted!

Wirral Dog Groomers is a highly established business, based in Wallasey Village that has been operating for almost 12 years. We have an extensive regular client base, whom we have a strong relationship with. We prioritise the happiness of our furry clients and focus on low stress, reward based grooming. All of our groomers are qualified and Pet First Aid trained and certified.

We are happy to announce that we are looking to hire a Full Time Apprentice or a Part Time Groomer to join us.

We are seeking individuals who are:

• True dog lovers!
• Hard working and reliable
• Team orientated, with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow within the dog grooming field
• Communicative with both customers and colleagues
• Must be confident around dogs of all shapes and sizes, with the ability to handle and care for them correctly
• Able to deal with unexpected daily challenges (we are working with animals!)

Qualified Dog Groomers must have the following:

• Recognised UK grooming qualification
• A minimum of 2 years salon experience
• Ability to groom to a high standard whilst prioritising animal welfare

What you can expect from us:

• Access to the salon to groom own personal dog out of working hours (available to apprentices after undergoing some training)
• Uniform included
• 28 days holiday (full time work - including bank holidays), part time holidays to be calculated according to hours worked
• Use of all grooming equipment
• Opportunities for external training
• Employee pension scheme

As a qualified groomer, you will be expected to be able to work confidently in the salon as part of a team, completing 5/6 grooms a day (depending on breed) as well as taking phone calls, completing administrative work, communicating with customers and making appointments.

Murphy enjoyed his first spa morning today 🧖‍♀️

The first grooming appointment can be a bit scary for them getting used to all our equipment, but with lots of cuddles and encouragement Murphy quickly became happy and settled with us 🥰
