giraffe, tigers, meerkats and many more animals. The park is open daily from mid-February until November, and remains open weekends only throughout the winter. We were so proud to welcome families from The Owen McVeigh Foundation for a special day at the safari 🦒🧡

From the safari drive to the shows and rides, it was all about creating magical memories together.

As Founder Mark McVeigh shared:
“A day like this means so much to our families. They get to spend quality time together and just be normal families for a day.” ✨

Adventure Calls at Knowsley Safari

Opened in 1971, Knowsley Safari is now in its 44th year. One of the biggest and best safari parks in the UK, Knowsley Safari Park has a 5-mile safari drive with lions, camel, white rhino and our cheeky troop of olive baboons. (Remember to take the car friendly route if you want to avoid those naughty monkeys) The park also has a large walk-around area, offering close-up views of giraffe, meerkats, tapirs and now our brand new Amur Tiger Trail! If you haven’t got a car, don’t worry, you can still enjoy this fantastic walk around area or hop on the baboon bus for a guided tour of the safari drive. The park is open daily but please visit our website www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk for more details on our opening times. Plus here you’ll find out when our fantastic animal displays are. Knowsley Safari is also a member of British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA) and European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).
