☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER REMINDER 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise, please remember that the heat can be extremely dangerous for dogs — even on days that don’t feel “too hot” to us.

At Marshamp your dog’s safety always comes first, which means walks may be:
• Moved to earlier mornings
• Shortened where necessary
• Swapped for enrichment visits/garden play
• Rescheduled during extreme heat warnings

Please also remember:
🐶 Pavements can burn paws
🐶 Dogs can overheat very quickly
🐶 Flat-faced breeds, puppies & older dogs are especially at risk
🐶 Never leave dogs in cars — even for a few minutes

Signs of heatstroke can include:
⚠️ Excessive panting
⚠️ Drooling
⚠️ Lethargy
⚠️ Vomiting
⚠️ Collapse

Fresh water, shade, cooling mats and rest are so important during warmer weather 💛

Thank you for understanding that sometimes the safest walk is a shorter one. Keeping your dogs happy, healthy and safe will always be my priority 🐾

🐾 Following a bad experience recently, I’d like to remind dog owners how important it is to keep dogs under control in public 🐾

Not every dog is friendly, and not every person or dog wants interaction. Allowing dogs to run up to others, especially without recall, can quickly lead to stressful or dangerous situations.

Please use leads where appropriate, work on reliable recall, and respect other people’s space. Responsible ownership keeps everyone — people and dogs alike — safe and able to enjoy their walks. 💚
