Where is the crackdown on knife crime by this government?? No stop and search, no active measures to reduce offences involving bladed items, no investment for alternative approaches.
60,000 knives handed in yet these aren't handed in by people with criminal intent. knife amnesty boxes do not take away the problem, they don't reduce the availability of knives when it's far too easy to order weapons online still.
When will the likes of Starner and Kahn wake up and accept that knife crime is out of control! Funding available for religious organisations to pay for measures to reduce the risk of a knife attack, yet no funding available for schools,no central policy or funding for preventative measures.
Time for a more robust pro active approach to knife crime.
