Bing b**g, let me deinfluence you…

Social media makes you think you need to spend hundreds every month. You really don’t.

Settle mat - just a bath mat is better than most you can buy.

Enrichment toys - the ones from the store are boring and repetitive, use your recycling or an old towel.

New gear - honestly, just look on Vinted. Especially if your dog is growing!

Supermarket treats - they’re generally crap quality and over priced, human grade meat or high quality treats like pate or freeze dried treats are way better.

Board & Train - if your trainer isn’t working with you, then there isn’t much point in spending money on them…

If you’re just about to bring home a new dog, there are a few bits I would recommend you pick up.

- A good harness. Something adjustable and that doesn’t sit along the shoulder / chest. I pretty much solely recommend the Balance Harness.
- A biothane long line, because there’s no need to waste time on using a bulky rope one or a fabric one that will collect mud and rip your skin to shreds. The leads are GOAT and worth the money for sure.
- A big, easy access treat pouch. I’ve used a fair few but am currently enjoying my one with a silicone pouch inside.
- Snuffle mat, it’s hard to go wrong. But don’t fall for the felt monstrosities on Amazon.
- Good treats. It’s very dog specific, but the treats are fab, particularly the pate. Of course the liver paste will always be in my fridge for training sessions!
