Have you every thought about how the water treadmill could benefit your horse? Here at Active Equine our team is lead by lead Hydrotherapist Sally who has over 50 years of experience with horses and is trained as a human physio. Sally has also spent plenty of time on the international eventing circuit in recent years with her daughter Lucy competing up to 4* level but did you know her first taste of international competition came when she worked for Grand Prix dressage rider Andrew Stevens in Australia back in the 90s! At 20 years young Joe is still loving life and giving Liv the opportunity to learn. His days of international competition may be behind him but he can still teach at a lower level thanks to his regular treadmill and spa sessions for maintenance and his Best Flex HA and Golden Oldies.

Notice anything different about this horse's gait?

Meet Milo our 22 year old rehab livery who can to us last November suffering so badly from his contracted tendon that he couldn't weight bare. With careful nourishment from our experienced team here at Active Equine he is now happily walking around and able to be turned out and enjoy life as a horse.

If it hadn't been for that one email from his owner who was desperate to find something to help Milo he was going to very sadly be heading to the stable in the sky but now he is a happy horse with a good quality of life.

Milo has had daily water treadmill, the , Best Flex HA from , as well as class 4 lazer and INDIBA therapy all of which we were able to organise for his owner so the process could be totally hassle free.

Struggling to get your insurance company to pay out for Hydrotherapy? We can help.... from September we will be offering a limited number of Physiotherapist lead water treadmill sessions so if your insurer requires a vet physio to run the sessions then we have you covered!

Today we had a lovely day welcoming back to collect data for her Dissertation.

Georgia joined us as a Veterinary Physiotherapy Placement Student and she enjoyed her time so much that she asked if she could come back to collect data for her Dissertation studying hock flexon on the water treadmill.

We are all very excited to see Georgia fully qualified and ready to take her first steps as a Vet Physio after graduating this summer.
