Tick season is here — and they’re not just a nuisance! 🐾🪲
Just a friendly reminder to check your dogs (and yourself!) for ticks after walks, especially if you’ve been in long grass, woodland, or moorland.
Ticks can carry diseases like Lyme disease, which can affect both dogs and humans — so catching them early is important.
🧼 After every walk, give your dog a once-over, especially around:
Ears
Neck
Armpits
Groin
Between the toes
If you find a tick, use a proper tick remover and twist gently — don’t pull straight out. And if you’re unsure, your vet can help.
The one I found today was so hungry it made a run for my thumb after I pulled it off! 😳🫣 Not today, pal.
If you're not using tick prevention yet, it’s a good time to have a chat with your vet.
Let’s keep our pups happy, healthy, and tick-free this summer! 🐶🌿
