📣 Hot Weather Protocol 📣

With the warmer weather arriving, I wanted to send a reminder of Mutt Strutt’s hot weather protocol to help keep all dogs safe and comfortable.

Our temperature cut-off is 24°C, taking into account factors such as humidity and cloud cover.

When temperatures exceed 24°C:
• Dog Days Out will run from 6am–12pm
• Morning walks will move to 6am
• Afternoon walks will move to 9am
• No walks will take place later in the day for the dogs’ safety

If temperatures are expected to exceed 24°C in the morning, walks will not go ahead. However, a drop-in service will still be available if you would like me to visit your dog for company, a toilet break, and some time indoors.

Top priority this Friday = keep the dogs safe and as cool as possible🫡🐶

Mission successful. Warm weather takes some careful consideration on my part to keep the dogs happy and comfortable. Today we managed to do a morning walk to avoid the warmer afternoon, which I’m sure the dogs appreciated. 🙌🏽

Still making sure to encourage lots of water, shade and swimming whilst attempting to dissuade the dogs from heavy play sessions and racing around which is always a challenge 😅

Overall we did well. I will put out a reminder of the hot weather schedule over the bank holiday weekend for this year’s summer months. ☀️
