HOT WEATHER WALKS 🔥

A very rare Scottish heatwave is headed our way this week 😎 higher temperatures mean an increased risk of heatstroke, especially for our Scottish dogs who absolutely aren’t used to this heat!
Changes to walk times and lengths may occur this week to ensure the safety of all the dogs in our care. The safety and wellbeing of the dogs will always come first, so we’re well stocked up on water, the fans are fully charged, and we have even packed our sun cream and aftersun for those pups with thinner coats or exposed skin 🧴

Enjoy the Scottish summer while it lasts 😂☀️😎

It’s official…. It’s TICK SEASON!! 🪳
For the last few weeks, this is what the end of our walks have looked like! Checking each and every dog top to bottom for ticks 🤢
So here’s your reminder of how to keep safe in this warmer weather ☀️
📍 The "Hot Spot" Check: every evening after walks in long grass, do a quick scan of any "hidden" spots (between toes, inside ears, under collars and harnesses)
💊 Stay Current: Ensure your flea and tick preventatives are up to date!
🔧 Tools: Make sure you have a tick removal tool in with your first aid kit so you can remove any ticks that have latched on safely and cleanly
