Just want to say a huge thank you to Steph and Gemma along with Lisa and Cara for all looking after the horses and yard next week when we go on holiday. It's lovely having all my family and horses together but gets a bit complicated when we all go on holiday.
Real friends are just that"real" we all have major ups and downs and times when things go right and wrong. Adding horses on top of these things makes it even harder but we support each other and help each other when we can.
The one thing I can offer these young people is good horses and ponies to ride and very good tuition. Nothing makes me prouder than my riders going out and doing well whether it's Kate, Lisa, Cara and anyone else who I can get out there doing stuff.
Let's hope dressage on Thursday is as good for this little team as it was last time.
Lessons available on your own horses or ponies either at Barlae or I'm happy to travel.
Children and ponies are my speciality.

Beautiful picture taken by one of my liveries today of our horses enjoying life at Barlae. Would never believe that Dusty only joined them last week. This is how horses are supposed to live and it works.
Wee ponies are out in their bit miles of space to move around in but good old rough grass so bellies full but no calories.

Well that was an interesting 36 hours. 600 miles there abouts to Aberdeen and back to collect this chap🥰🥰
This is Dusty 28 yrs old and another one to add to my collection of elderly horses.
He travelled absolutely brilliantly and is now part of my Barlae gang to live out his remaining years just having a nice time.
Massive thank you to Marie who seems to have rejoined the world of "horses" in a big way over last few weeks. She was a great navigator and we didn't get lost apart from one missed turning.
Tomorrow is another day and we are off to Greenland's for x country schooling 🙉🙉🙉

In the 14 yrs that I ran my livery yard at Penninghame I never once asked an owner to leave. People moved their horses off the yard for lots of reasons but never because I didn't like them or there was an atmosphere. If that had been the case then most of them would have been asked to go.
If you run a yard as a business then unless something pretty major happens you have to work with your clients.
Maybe other yards work this way and I am wrong who knows but it seems a shame.
All I can say is Barlae is run the same way I have always done it and it's the nicest place for people and horses.
I appreciate that others will have different views to me and that's fine.
Life is to short for conflict.
