Had a fantastic time dog sitting the handsome Ozzy 🐾💙

This lovely Cockapoo was a pleasure to look after from start to finish. Full of energy, affection, and plenty of personality, Ozzy made every day fun with his playful nature and endless enthusiasm. 🐶

Whether we were out on walks, enjoying some playtime, or having a well-earned cuddle, Ozzy was the perfect companion.

☀️ HOT WEATHER GROOMING TIPS ☀️

With the temperatures rising, it’s important to help keep your dogs cool, comfortable, and safe during the warmer days 🐶💦

Here are a few simple tips:

✂️ Regular grooming helps remove excess coat and prevents matting, allowing air to circulate properly
💧 Always keep fresh water available
🚶 Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening to avoid hot pavements
🌳 Provide plenty of shade and cool resting areas
🚫 Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
🐾 Check pavements with your hand before walks — if it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for them

A tidy coat is much easier to manage in the heat, but remember — shaving double-coated breeds can sometimes do more harm than good, so always ask your groomer for advice 😊

May is here — longer walks, warmer days, and lots more time outdoors ☀️ But with that comes a few extra things to keep your dog happy, healthy, and comfortable 👇

🐾 Coats are changing
You’ll likely see more shedding as winter coats fully drop. Regular brushing now helps remove dead hair and keeps the skin healthy.

🐾 Keep on top of matting
Warmer weather + more activity = more tangles. Pay extra attention to areas like legs, belly, and behind the ears.

🐾 Watch out for grass seeds
They’re starting to appear and can easily get caught in coats, paws, and ears — a quick check after walks is a must.

🐾 Stay flea & tick ready
This is peak time for parasites, so make sure treatments are up to date to avoid any unwanted guests.

🐾 Cool, comfortable coats
Keeping your dog well-groomed helps them regulate their temperature better — especially important as it starts to warm up.

🐾 Rinse & refresh
More outdoor time = more dirt. A gentle rinse (and proper dry!) helps keep coats clean without causing matting.

We’ve had some gorgeous pups in the salon recently!

💙 Murphy came in for his full groom — all set for summer with a short, tidy trim to keep him cool and comfy.

🖤 Anubis visited for his very first puppy groom 🐶 A gentle wash & dry followed by a de-shed to remove that fluffy puppy coat, leaving him shiny, soft, and oh-so-smooth.

💖 Cassie popped in for her maintenance groom — a refreshing wash & dry finished with a neat scissor tidy to keep her looking her best.

We love seeing each pup leave feeling fresh, confident, and ready to strut their stuff 🐕✨

As we head into spring, your dog’s coat is going through changes — shedding winter fur, picking up more dirt on walks, and needing a little extra TLC 🌿

Here are my top tips to keep your dog’s coat healthy, fresh, and comfortable this time of year 👇

🐾 Shedding season is here!
You might notice more loose hair — totally normal. Regular brushing helps remove dead coat and keeps skin healthy (plus saves your sofa 😅).

🐾 Stay on top of brushing
Warmer weather + longer coats = higher chance of matting. A quick daily brush keeps everything smooth and manageable.

🐾 Watch out for mud & moisture
Spring walks can get messy! Always dry your dog properly, especially legs and undercarriage, to prevent knots forming.

🐾 Check for tangles after walks
Twigs, pollen, and debris love to hitch a ride — a quick once-over after walks goes a long way.

🐾 Keep up with regular grooms
