🚨🚨ULCERS🚨🚨

Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS) is a common condition affecting both happy hackers and sports horses alike. It's been reported to affect around 1 in 3 horses causing a variety of symptoms.

You may suspect ulcers if your horse has been experiencing recurrent episodes of colic, struggling to keep weight on or is showing behavioural changes both in-hand and under saddle. Even subtle dips in performance can be a sign. 🐎

How do I confirm if my horse has them?
The only way to accurately diagnose the presence of gastric ulcers is to pass a long camera called a gastroscope into the stomach to evaluate the stomach lining.

To take place at our base near Kendal we are offering gastroscopes at HALF PRICE! That's £160 including sedation.

Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome has been found to affect 1 in 3 horses causing a wide range of signs and symptoms.

The only way to accurately diagnose ulcers is via gastroscopy, where we pass a long camera into the stomach to assess the health of the stomach lining. The picture below shows the stomach before ulcer treatment.

Diagnosis allows us to formulate an individual treatment and management plan to help you and horse 🐎
