Aire Valley Cat Microchipping is a family run business, set up in 2021 by cat lovers for other cat lovers. We strive to provide a good & reliable service that cat owners, vets, and adoption centres can rely on. Our comprehensive microchipping service takes you through the entire journey from implanting the chip itself to registering with Pet Identity UK's database, all from the comfort of your house, so you don't have to worry about a arranging a stressful journey with your cat.

Our microchip implanters are insured and fully trained by a DEFRA approved training body and will take great care of your cat, we have 4 cats in the family house and have seen many litters, so you can rest assured we have great experience with our furry feline friends.

Early in May 2021 the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has announced that microchipping will be compulsory for cats in the United Kingdom as part of an Action Plan for Animal Welfare.

With the imminent introduction of compulsory cat microchipping legislation, I could see from speaking to members of my family who are veterinary services professionals the problems in logistics of implanting over 7 million cats on a national scale but also the significant problem in how the cats would be transported to and from the chosen veterinary surgery for the microchip procedure.

My own cats for instance hate to travel and it is a stressful and distressing time for both myself and my cats whenever I try to place my cats into a pet travel cage. Unlike dogs whose owners regularly exercise their pets or travel with their pets in the car, cats are not travel happy animals.

As certified and fully qualified cat microchip implanters we can accommodate all cat owners within the Aire Valley region with a regulated and safe home visit all year round, in the hope of reducing the risk of anxiety and distress for everyone involved.
