🐾 Phew... what a week already! 🐾

Four group classes down.
Three more to go.

Three private training sessions.
A Mantrailing progression trail still to come on Sunday.

June has arrived with a bang! 😅

So far this week we've welcomed dogs through:

🐶 Puppy Beginners
🚶 Recall & Loose Lead
⭐ Friday Club
🎩 Dazzle Dogs

And still to come tomorrow:

🐶 Puppy Beginners (Round Two!)
🤪 Terrific Teens
💪 Confident Canines

It's been one of those weeks where you finally pause for a moment, look around, and realise just how many dogs and humans are learning together each week.

The launch of our new PAYG classes today was brilliant, and seeing both familiar faces and new teams enjoying themselves made all the hard work worthwhile.

We're incredibly grateful to every person who chooses to spend their time with us. Whether you're working on puppy basics, navigating adolescence, building confidence, polishing recall, or simply looking for something fun to enjoy with your dog, thank you for trusting us to be part of the journey. ❤️

The irony?

We've been so busy that I haven't taken a single photo all week! 📸🙈

Thankfully Kay met the absolutely gorgeous little Monty earlier this week, and he was far too cute not to share. 😍

Now, if you'll excuse us, we've got three more classes, a trail to run, and a weekend full of dogs ahead...

And honestly?

We wouldn't have it any other way. 🐾❤️

🐶👀🐾 Monty! 🐾👀🐶

This little guy! And his teefs! 🤭🥰 We had a lovely session seeing his confidence grow! Monty is a little unsure of the world but before we start out in the world forcing him into situations he’s potentially uncomfortable in… we start small, simple… chilled!

The difference in this little guy’s body language and movement between him coming in and him leaving was night and day!

Well done little man, you did so well, see you again soon at The Keighley Canine Collective👏🏻🐶

🔥 Blink and You Miss Them! 🔥

Our last Confident Canines and Herding Game courses sold out in a flash! 🐾

In fact, they've sold out so quickly that we've already scheduled repeat courses for August... and somehow it's only the 1st of June! 😲

These aren't huge classes.

✨ Confident Canines = just 3 dogs
✨ Herding Game = just 2 dogs

That means plenty of individual attention, personalised coaching and full trainer focus throughout.

The downside?

When spaces are gone... they're gone.

This week we're excited to welcome our June intake:

🐶 Puppy Beginners - Wednesday Evening
⭐ Fab Friday Club (PAYG)
🎩 Dazzle Dog (PAYG)
🐶 Puppy Beginners - Saturday Morning
🤪 Terrific Teens
💪 Confident Canines (Sold Out)

We still have a handful of places available across some classes, so if you've been thinking:

➡️ "I'll book next week..."
➡️ "I'll see how things go..."
➡️ "I'll get round to it later..."
..this is your friendly reminder that our smaller, specialist classes often fill much faster than people expect.

If you'd like to join us this June, now's the perfect time to grab your spot before somebody else does. 🐾

Massage isn't just for humans 💙🐾

Meet Eadie 🐾💕

The most gorgeous miniature Dachshund. At 10 years young, Eadie is now entering her senior years, and her lovely owner is doing everything she can to keep her happy, comfortable, and moving well for as long as possible — exactly how it should be ❤️

When Eadie’s PT mentioned she was showing some tightness through her hind limbs, her owner didn’t wait for problems to develop and contacted me to help support her mobility and quality of life.

During Eadie’s Clinical Canine Massage sessions, I’ve been working on releasing tension through her glutes, quadriceps, hamstrings, and lower back muscles. As dogs age, compensatory movement patterns, muscle tightness, and stiffness can begin to affect how easily they can walk, rise, or enjoy their daily adventures. Massage helps improve circulation, reduce discomfort, increase flexibility, and support healthier movement patterns.

Clinical Canine Massage works by assessing and treating the soft tissues and muscles throughout the body to help relieve pain, reduce tension, improve mobility, and aid recovery. It can benefit dogs suffering with arthritis, stiffness, mobility issues, postural changes, compensatory strain, or simply those needing support as they age gracefully 🐶✨

Preventative care can make such a difference, especially for our senior dogs, and Eadie is an absolute superstar to work with 💖

Puppy class week two last night… and this week’s theme was all about learning how to CHILL 🐶✨

We introduced the puppies to the idea of a special place/bed/mat where all good things happen…

🦴 Tasty chews
👅 Lickimats
👃 Snuffle mats
🥜 Kongs
❤️ Calmness
🧠 Relaxation

Not a “naughty spot”…
Not somewhere they’re sent away…

But a place their puppy brain genuinely wants to be.

We talked about how quickly our own movement influences our dogs too - fast humans often create fast puppies 😅 so if we want calm, we need to model calm.

We also discussed how useful this training becomes in the real world:
☕ Settling in cafés
🍺 Relaxing in beer gardens
🐾 Waiting calmly at the vets
🚪 Greeting visitors without the usual doorbell chaos

The puppies also had their first little introduction to scent work and enrichment games - proving that enrichment really doesn’t need to be complicated to be effective.

And honestly? The pups smashed it ❤️

(Also… the photos are definitely “caught in the moment” puppy training reality this week rather than polished glamour shots 😂 We’ll work on the cute poses another time!)
