Pole work’s not just for ponies! 🐶

This morning's training exercise!

We warmed up with a 40 minute walk, including on and off lead work. Came back to the field and worked over flat poles on a curve, followed by raised poles on a curve, great for flexibility, core strength and proprioception. 💪🏼

We finished off with some trick training working on leg weaves for continued flexibility as well as a new trick we're currently working on 🤐 followed by a leg stretch around the fields whilst I did the horses.

The pole exercises are recommended by our physio and I have just tweaked them a bit for the dogs to work then like a movement puzzle.

🚨 EQUESTRIANS - TOMORROW! YOUR VOICE IS URGENTLY NEEDED 🚨
TUESDAY 10 MARCH • 12pm–7pm
OAP Hall, Barley Close, Little Eaton DE21 5DJ
If you ride anywhere near Little Eaton, tomorrow is the one day we MUST show up. The plans for the new Greenway are being shaped now and if equestrians aren’t present, horses may not be included in the final design.
This is our moment to make sure we are not forgotten. Even popping in for 10 minutes makes a real difference.
We need you there to:
📍 To advocate for safe equestrian access throughout the route.
📍 To push for vital connections to our existing bridleways, byways, and multi-user routes.
📍 To prove there is a demand for off-road provision in our community.
If we don’t speak up, these routes may be built without horses in mind.
Please come. Bring a friend. Bring your yard. Let’s put hoofprints firmly on the map.

My favourite event to physio at finished for another year, with another 5* completion under their belts for Emma Hyslop Eventing and Huey (Jeweetwel) 🤩!

Trotting up with plenty of enthusiasm and spring in his step this morning after yesterday’s cross country efforts. Enthusiasm certainly isn’t something this little horse is short of!!
