I’m inviting dog guardians to participate in a unique case study focused on deepening the connection with your dog through the use of essential oils and herbs.
This journey is about mutual exploration—our dogs have an innate sense of what they need, and they often encourage us to join them and tune in with them.

✨ What we’re looking for:

If you’re open to exploring this journey together with your dog, we would love to have you on board.

This isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about engaging together in a way that nurtures deeper connection, understanding and growth for both of you. With the aromatics and herbs acting as the bridge.

What to expect:

Connection: Working with the aromatics slows us down and invites us to be more present with our dogs. The aromatic plants help us to connect with our bodies and our intuitive senses. Moving beyond constant overthinking to deeper connection and awareness🐾

Mutual discovery: You’ll find that the essential oils create a space for deeper connection—not just with your dog, but with yourself. This is what our dogs have been asking for: a way for us to join them in the moment and fully embrace the NOW. 🌸

Accessing the unseen: Essential oils are more than just pleasant scents; they can help us access emotions and insights that might otherwise remain hidden. The botanicals help create a bridge to our inner world, inviting us to feel and acknowledge the wisdom and healing that needs to be heard. This shared experience can foster deeper understanding and connection between you and your dog. 🌱 🌱

What’s Included:

A kit of botanicals to work with throughout the study (available for a small fee). 🌿

Where and how:

The calls take place on Zoom and you will be guided by myself and my mentee who is taking the Canine Botanicals practitioner mentorship.

🌿👣I am Very Excited to be doing a Botanical Self-Healing Practitioner Mentorship & am Seeking Volunteers to Participate in a guided Botanical Self-Healing Session with their Dog!🌿🐾

📆What’s Involved? Participate in a FREE guided session with your dog on zoom with Rachel Knott from My Animal Matters & Myself. Sessions can last up to an hour, but some dogs may choose to snooze within 15mins, leaving us to explore the aromatics and have a chat while they process.😴

📦Tailored Sample Kit fee: Before the session, you’ll receive a custom sample kit for your dog.
• First kit: £25
• Follow-up kit: £20

📚Learn Together: You’ll discover how to present different botanicals to your dog and observe their responses:
• ✅ ‘Yes’
• ❌ ‘No’
• 🤔 ‘Maybe’
• ⏳ ‘Processing, give me time/space’

📝Get Curious: Please keep notes and recordings of your dog’s choices between sessions. This will provide valuable feedback!

🎥Your Input Counts: The sessions will be recorded for the educational benefit of students on a private platform. Your role will be essential in shaping their learning experience!

🗒️Before You Start: Fill out a brief questionnaire to help us prepare your kit.

🚨Heads Up: This isn’t a substitute for veterinary care. If your dog’s on medication, please let us know in advance!

Bean is learning the 'Look at That' game to help him to disengage from distractions in the environment and give eye contact. 👀🐕We are teaching him the skill inside away from distractions first, so that he can learn successfully✅

We will then build the skill up by practicing outside and around real distractions once he is clear on what we want him to do👌

This is a brilliant skill especially for Adolescent dogs, because in effect the distraction becomes a cue to check in with you!🐕👀🤩

😍Beautiful Mavis had her first session of her Complete Adolescent Dog Package today! Over the next 6 weeks we are going to focus on Building her Confidence so that she doesn't feel anxious and then pull on her lead.🌟

Today she learnt:
✅Her Marker word - this will then be used for all of her training to mark all of the behaviours that we are asking her to do, so that she can understand what we want.

✅Hand Touch - she will touch her nose to the palm of her persons hand, this is a great way to signal a Recall, or to direct her, for example to move her onto the scales at the vets.

✅Eye contact - this is great for teaching her to focus and connect when outside.

✅Loose lead Walking - we started to teach her the position that we want her to be in and the pace beside us.

💖All of this was done off lead, with toys and snuffle mats available so that she could choose when to engage without any pressure! Choice based training is at the Heart of all I do, it is very important for Building an Amazing Relationship with your dog!💖
