One of our lovely Active Paws pups Bruno has had a blast this morning at the beach with his buddy Max. He chose his own treat (a pork roll!) then carried it all the way to the beach and ate it on the stones with the waves crashing in the background.

⚠️ ❗️ Warning to all Christchurch Park Users.

This one’s quite a serious one, as I found a large very sharp shard of glass this morning near the big mound in the middle of the park when dog walking.
This could have been a serious accident waiting to happen. Dogs running around playing, children rolling down the mound, even just someone simply sitting and having a picnic. Not to mention the wildife that could die as a result of an injury from glass like this.

Now lots of you enjoyed music in the park this weekend and I am really pleased as it was a wonderful event for the town, however!! This is exactly why glass bottles should not be allowed on the park period.

If you drink it, then bin it responsibly. Most of you probably did, and well done to you all. However whoever left this didn’t…

Don’t just leave it for someone like me to find days later, or for an innocent being to get seriously hurt.

Any number of dogs or people could have been injured - This isn’t cool, this isn’t funny, this isn’t just someone being irresponsible.

There is no need.

Bins are always there - Just have some respect for others and use them.
