As a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor I work in construction with The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme.

The Good Citizen Dog Training scheme is open to all dogs, young or old, pedigree or crossbreed. Dogs do not need to be registered with The Royal Kennel Club to take part.

The scheme promotes responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dog for everyday life situations through four award levels - Puppy Foundation, Bronze, Silver and Gold.

If you are looking for your dog to do algidity or therapy work you will need Good citizen dog Gold level first.

Next Puppy Foundation class starts 18/3/26 runs for 6 weeks and cost £50

I have so much admiration for you my little boss dog. You maybe the smallest in the pack but definitely not a lady to be messed with !!

Little Izzy 8 days off 15 and her coat could now fit two of her 🤣 yet she’s loves her trot out and at a good pace xx

bowl that’s too low won’t “injure” every dog overnight — but over time, especially for seniors, dogs with arthritis, neck/back issues, or those recovering from injury, that repeated awkward posture can add extra stress where they don’t need it.

Easy fix:
✅ Try a raised feeder so your dog can eat with a more relaxed neck and straighter back.

A simple rule of thumb: aim for the bowl to sit around lower chest / elbow height (not super high, just enough to reduce hunching).

If your dog has megaesophagus or swallowing issues, follow your vet’s specific setup because height matters a lot there.
