Nearly three weeks post op!

Repair and wound healing well
Can sleep without the sling and time out of sling during the day 😊
Can have a proper bath/shower
No lifting, pushing or bending with the arm yet
Starting gentle physio with no resistance

Feels like a big milestone has been accomplished, as can do a few more things for myself 😊

One week after surgery!

Post op pain loads better today!

Had physio assessment on Friday, they gave me lots of helpful ways to do things with only one arm 🤣

Dressed myself this morning which feels like a massive achievement and can brush my teeth without spraying all the bathroom in tooth paste!

Practicing my left handed writing, think I’m doing very well as you can see in the picture.

As the physio said it’s a marathon your running not a sprint to recovery, so getting my head round that has probably been the hardest thing so far.
But my injury is no way by any means life changing and I will be back to my full self in time, am so thankful for the amazing support from my family especially my wonderful husband Matt 🥰

Also my lovely friends who are making sure I’m looked after 😊

Physio is about keeping my joints supple and moving.

Rest to aid recovery and healing, got plenty of good books to read and amazing support from friends and family 🥰

Would like to say a massive thank you to all the teams at West Middlesex Hospital who have and are still looking after me.

Also thank you for everyone’s well wishes and offers of help.

Having managed to rupture the bicep tendon in my right arm 😭

Am going to miss my furry friends who have been part of my life for nearly two years.

But to quote The Terminator
“I’ll be back”
fitter and stronger than before!
