Archie is the baby of the family, being only six years old. He was two days old when he came to me, so very tiny and needing constant attention. Lots of bottle feeding 24 hours a day and doing what his mummy would have done for him. His mummy didn't have any milk and was very young, so wasn't able to rear him, sadly Archie was the only one of the litter to survive, so I count myself very lucky to have him (not sure the others do!).

Archie soon became one of the family and fitted in well with the other three black cats and of course Pickle. Sadly two of those three are no longer with us.

His favourite pastimes are eating as much as he can, sleeping and spending the day on the big swing in the garden, or the egg chair!

This is Pickle. Pickle was the first kitten I hand reared. She came to me at three weeks old and showed right from the start that she was going to be a pickle, hence the name.

On the first day she was with me she managed to escape from the pen she was in and was seen heading for the tv cabinet. There is never a dull moment with Pickle who is now 13 years old.

Pickle is a typical tortoiseshell with plenty of attitude, very loyal and full of mischief. When she isn't chasing the fox out of the garden, she likes to spend her time on the bathroom window sill or curled up on my bed. Her favourite pastime (after chasing dogs and foxes) is sitting on the window sill talking to the birds on the bird feeders.

I thought I would introduce you to my cats.
This is Summer, she is 16 years old. I have had Summer since she was a tiny kitten. Summer has always been a very chatty cat, she is also affectionate and loves a window sill to curl up on.

Recently she has been howling a lot and her vet thinks she is probably in the early stages of feline dementia. She still has her mad five minutes, but now she does a lot of "shouting".

Despite being in the early stages of renal disease, she is in good health and eating the early renal food suggested by her vet. Hopefully she will be around for a lot longer. 🐈‍⬛

Meet Stitch 🐾💙

I had the absolute pleasure of looking after this lovely boy back in February whilst his owners were off enjoying Florida and New York! Stitch was an absolute dream, full of personality, cuddles, and charm. It was such a joy keeping him company and making sure he felt safe and loved whilst his family was away.
