🌟 **What a Week for JC Animal Massage!** 🌟

It’s been a fantastic week full of variety – treating lots of amazing **horses and dogs**, and continuing my work at **The Canine Rehab Co.** doing **Underwater Treadmill (UWT)** sessions 💧🐾

UWT is a brilliant low-impact rehab tool that supports **muscle building, joint mobility, and overall conditioning** – I love seeing the progress our canine clients are making!

To top it all off, I had my **first dressage outing** with my new horse and we placed **3rd and 4th** – after just **5 weeks together**! She’s recovering from an old racing injury that left her with **scar tissue and fascia adhesions**, but regular **PEMF** and **Class 3B Laser** treatments are making a huge difference.

🔹 **PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy)** boosts **circulation, reduces inflammation**, and promotes **deep tissue repair** – perfect for both rehab and performance.

💫 I’m Back – And Ready for What’s Next! 💫

After a very tough couple of years dealing with family illness and the heartbreaking loss of my mum, I made the difficult decision to take some time away from my business and defer my final year of my Veterinary Physiotherapy degree.

It’s been a time of huge personal challenge, but also growth – and I’m so pleased to say I’m back, with renewed focus and some very exciting developments on the horizon!

Over the past 9 months, I’ve had the privilege of working with The Canine Rehab Co. , where I’ve gained a wealth of hands-on experience in advanced rehabilitation techniques, including canine hydrotherapy using the underwater treadmill. I’m delighted to share that I’ll be continuing to work with them**, alongside running my own business, JC Animal Massage.

In addition to manual massage techniques and excersise prescription, I now offer **Laser Therapy** and **PEMF treatments** as part of my rehabilitation toolkit – giving me even more ways to support the dogs and horses in my care.

🌞 **Hot Weather = Hot Pets!** 🐾

As the temperatures rise, it's *so important* to help our furry (and feathered!) friends stay cool and comfortable. Animals can overheat quickly, and heatstroke can be life-threatening.

Here are a few easy ways to keep them safe:
✅ Provide plenty of fresh, cool water
✅ Walk dogs early morning or late evening
✅ Never leave pets in cars — *even for a minute*
✅ Offer shade and cooling mats
✅ Watch for signs of heat stress: panting, drooling, lethargy, or unsteady movement

**🐾❄️ The Importance of Warming Up in Cold Weather! ❄️🐴**

As temperatures drop, it’s crucial to pay extra attention to warming up your horses and dogs before exercise. Just like us, their muscles and joints are stiffer in the cold, increasing the risk of injury.

A proper warm-up improves circulation, increases muscle elasticity, and helps your four-legged friend perform at their best. This is where **massage therapy** can also play a key role!

💆‍♀️ *How does massage help?*
- Stimulates blood flow to the muscles, preparing them for movement.
- Relieves tension in stiff areas caused by the cold.
