The cats for rehoming page is not always totally up to-date on the site and there are lots of Penny Paws cats looking for homes that never make it online at all so its always worth filling in the enquiry form eben if you havent seen your perfect fit listed. I love a bit of match making 🙂

🚨 Kitten season isn’t always cute.
Meet Q-Tip — 7 months old, fighting for his life.
Suspected FIP, a devastating disease that’s almost always fatal without treatment.
He came to Penny Paws after being given to a home that couldn’t cope when he got sick.
Vet bills are spiraling: £372 for initial meds, £714 for further treatment… and more to come.
Over a million kittens are born in the UK every year.
Most aren’t lucky enough to get the care Q-Tip needs.
We don’t give up on him.
But we can’t do it alone.

I’m an absolute gem of a cat and if you’re looking for a lap cat and best friend, I might be exactly who you’re looking for 💜

I’m about 1 year old, and although I had a difficult start in life, surviving as a stray kitten with my brother and sister, and even having kittens of my own while still so young, I’ve come through it all with so much love to give. Now I’m ready for a calm, happy forever home where I can finally just be someone’s baby.

🐾 Meet Biscuit 🐾
A beautiful ginger Tom who came to us after being left to suffer far too long.
What was described as a “bad leg” turned out to be severe malnutrition, extreme pain, and worrying signs of serious illness. This didn’t happen overnight. Biscuit was neglected when he needed help the most.
The good news? 💛 He’s safe now. He’s eating, drinking, and finally being shown the care he deserves.
The hard part? His vet care has already reached £1,036 and will rise as we fight to give him answers, comfort, and the best possible future.
At Penny Paws, we never turn away a cat in need — but we can’t do this alone. Medical emergencies like Biscuit’s push our foster carers to the limit.

Biscuit's story of neglect and his desperate need for ongoing medical help. Biscuit is extremely skinny (the protruding bones, all 'skeleton and fur' kind of skinny). He also has enlarged inguinal lymph nodes, which is very concerning. This is not something that develops overnight and indicates serious illness - maybe cancer, maybe FIV. Only tests will tell us exactly what is going on for poor Biscuit.

What we know for sure is that he is severely malnourished and in a lot of pain. And he has been for a considerable amount of time.

This situation could have been avoided if he had been taken for help earlier. Limited time due to a busy family life is not an excuse to allow an animal to suffer without seeking support. He's now in the care of a penny paws foster home but the vet bill is already spiralling. No-one deserves a second chance than Biscuit.
