The first water test is now ticked off the calendar at Manvers Lake ☀️🛟 the tropical heat got warmer and warmer as each day passed, but that certainly didn’t deter our amazing MWN team.

Saturday saw Alba, Rosie-Bear, Lillibet and Mikey all pass their A tests 👏 with Yvonne completing her first appointment as an A Judge, a fantastic start on the judging ladder.

A number of MWN members also stewarded throughout the whole weekend alongside the other working groups to help the event run smoothly, a real team effort from everyone involved.

Tobi and Rob passed a very emotional C test. All the hard work has finally paid off and they absolutely smashed it. Definitely a celebration worthy of returning home to Dan and baby Linc. Mike entered a C, as did Kim and Izzy, not quite there this time but both were very close.

Mike and Jay also entered an E test and just narrowly missed out on a pass at the very end. That was day one complete and we all rested ready for Sunday fun.

Sunday morning focused on agility whilst the first aid course was completed. Jay set up a small agility course and MWN members, along with Terra Nova & Co. (Ken!), made full use of the water time.

Monday brought another tropical day, and the dogs coped well in the heat. Izzy and Kim, along with Jay and Mikey, passed some beautiful B tests 👏

Rosie-Bear entered her first D test. Rosie decided swimming around with the hank was far more entertaining than delivering it to the boat, so not quite there this time, but plenty to practice for next time!

Mikey then went on to pass his D test with flying colours. Huge congratulations Team Mikey and Jay ⭐

Finally, we ended the weekend with another fantastic result as Lillibet passed her B and smashed her swim, once she lost sight of the ducks! 🦆 This was an emotional pass for all involved and the result of so much hard work being put into her controlled swim.

Alongside all of this, our wonderful “Food Club” kept everyone well fed and watered throughout the weekend, including a hearty Scottish breakfast courtesy of Yvonne and Scott to set us all up for the days ahead 🥓☕

Thank you to Manvers Lake Bears for hosting such a lovely event, and thank you to all the judges and stewards who made the weekend possible.

A little message to our friends and followers from Professor Noel Fitzpatrick 💜 thank you everyone (including Noel & his team) for your support of Sully over the past 8 months, we're pleased to say that he is making good progress and hopefully will be back in the water soon.

It was a true privilege and honour for MWN to spend time with the GB Paracanoe Paralympians this weekend. They are such inspiring athletes with incredible determination and resilience, not to mention a huge number of gold medals under their belts🥇

The dogs had the opportunity to put their training into action, carrying out rescues by towing the athletes' canoes safely back to shore, and even taking on the added challenge of a catamaran.

What made it even more special was seeing how much they enjoyed it, they were just as in awe of the dogs as we were of them!

Thank you for a memorable day and please come back to see us again.

Team MWN… you are the best!!

A huge thank you to our members for their donations, time and skills on Saturday - painting, roofing, and joinery all in full force.

We managed to get our container repainted and graffiti-free, repoint and replace ridge tiles on the cabin roof, and give the entire cabin a fresh new coat of paint!

Just the mandatory MWN emblem to add… and we’re all set 😁
