Hi all! 😊 I’m Evelin the new stylist at The Hound Lounge and thought i’d introduce myself on here so you know me a bit better.

I love grooming all types of dogs but have a real soft spot for terriers , their personalities are so unique🥰 I also love grooming poodles as they give me the perfect chance to get creative and have some fun! ✂️

It’s been a little quiet on here lately and I owe you all a huge apology.

The last year or so had been incredibly busy which I’m so grateful for, but I know some of you may have felt ignored or that replies haven’t been as prompt as they should be. The truth is I absolutely love grooming dogs and being a professional groomer is everything to me, but as a first time business owner I’ve filled my days completely with grooming and it has left very little time to get back to messages at a responsible hour.

I want you to know this has never been because I don’t care about you or your dogs and definitely not because I’m lazy. If anything it’s been heartbreaking knowing I’ve probably missed grooming opportunities because of my lapse in customer service 😖

The good news is I’m working on improving communication. I’m now scheduling dedicated admin time into my weeks and I’m also setting up a new booking system which will allow for better communication and a smoother experience for all you lovely pet parents🐾

On a more shameless proud moment note🤣 I’ve been working 7 days a week in the salon for a long time now. And over the last 5 months on the rare day off I have taken I’ve been competing or attending seminars to keep improving my skills. Looking back over the last 5 months I’m honestly just feeling really proud of how far I’ve pushed myself 🥹

Competitions might look like they’re just about trophies but for me it’s about learning and improving. Being judged by some of the best in the industry has pushed me to look more closely at the finer details, from scissor work to coat handling and overall balance. I’m not trying to turn every salon groom into a competition trim, but it has definitely helped me refine my eye and improve the quality and consistency of my work. It’s all about continuing to grow and bringing better skills back into the salon every day✂️🏆

I’m so excited to officially introduce our amazing new stylist Evelin ✂️✨
She’s already booking up quickly and collecting 5 star reviews and I couldn’t be happier to have her as part of the team🫶🏼
