‘Solo’ was my first dog that became a loyal and loving companion through my childhood; hence why I have named my business after him. The name also seemed poignant as I work alone and without employing others within my business that ensures continuity. Whilst I have taught in Further Education for 14 years, my passion was always to work with animals. I carried out voluntary work at my local kennels for 5 and a half years which involved working with dogs that come in for boarding and those that require a new home. I have also fostered dogs that have needed that extra bit of care which has helped them successfully settle into their new homes. I am committed to giving the very best service and to provide the love and comfort to all pets within my care for which they so deserve. I never like to ask for feedback/reviews with my clients. Funny though because as a teacher I always asked for feedback from my students so that I can improve my knowledge and skills. This in return gave them a better tuition because I wanted to get it right for them as much as myself.
So im now asking for reviews ( I do always ask after each lesson/session if they are all happy etc.)

I'm lucky enough to be working alongside this lovely family and their young dog.
We went to an enclosed safe area for him to experience new smells and practice his recall.
He is very nervous of everything, however, I just wanted to build confidence in the family so that they are able to come here on a regular basis.
Yes he has his longline on because I wanted to set him and his family up for success and for family to feel confident.
He was a little unsure at first, however, it didn't take him long to start investigating and grow in confidence.
He was an absolute superstar as was his family.
They are really putting the work in and he will be going here regularly now.
So proud of them all xx

Just been sorting through my accounts and found my first little invoice book.

Solo Pet Services commenced in March 2013 after I left my Full time teaching post.

It has changed a lot, however, I have met so many amazing animals and their owners and I still have contact with some after 13 years.

Thank you to all my amazing and wonderful clients and their pets for supporting my tiny little business.
Still here, still learning, still helping and still loving my job.

Let's welcome a new addition to Solo Pet Services . He is very scared of the world at the moment, however, he has the most supportive and understanding family he could wish for.
Our first visit was to observe and assess his behaviour and discuss and put a plan in place to help him.
We have increased more enrichment and little training exercises to help him with his emotions.
This is not a quick fix, it takes time, dedication and patience for all involved.
My 2nd visit I see a huge change, which was incredible, pure commitment from his fur mum.
My role is not just about helping the dogs that I meet, its also about having understanding for the owners, non judgemental, supportive and being that shoulder to lean on.
We are continuing with our training and he has a special treat as I have booked him in the bark park so he is able to have a lovely walk and for his pet mum to also enjoy too.
All my training is:Scientifically proven Force free
Positive reinforcement Lots of fun
