What better way to introduce our new nurse than during Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month!

Meet Hannah! Hannah first discovered her passion for veterinary nursing while working as an Animal Care Assistant, where she was inspired by the veterinary nurses she worked alongside every day. Seeing the care, skill, and dedication they brought to their patients motivated her to follow the same career path herself.

Hannah particularly enjoys running nurse clinics, where she thrives on being able to use and demonstrate the skills she has worked hard to perfect to ensure pets are happy and healthy!

Please join us in welcoming Hannah to the team, we’re so happy she’s here💚

During Veterinary Nurse Awareness month, it’s important to know they play such a strong role in supporting both pets and their owners every single day.

Not only are they highly skilled in caring for patients during procedures, but they are also a huge source of knowledge and reassurance for clients. From post-operative aftercare and medication advice to weight clinics, puppy and kitten checks, senior pet support, and general health advice, our nurses are always there to help💚

Therapy with Maddie in progress…🐾

Veterinary acupuncture is often used alongside conventional treatments to help support comfort, mobility and quality of life. By stimulating specific points on the body, acupuncture can help encourage natural pain relief, improve circulation and relax tight muscles.

Many pets find acupuncture sessions incredibly calming! Every patient is different, so treatment plans are tailored to suit each individual pet and their needs. If you’d like to find out more about acupuncture and whether it may help your pet, please get in touch💚

Fun fact for Veterinary Nurse Awareness month!

Did you know that while your pet is in surgery, a veterinary nurse is by their side the entire time?

From the moment a patient is anaesthetised, our nurses carefully monitor everything — heart rate, breathing, oxygen levels, temperature, and more. They make constant adjustments to keep your pet safe, stable, and comfortable throughout the procedure.

It’s a hands-on, highly skilled role that often goes unseen, but it’s absolutely vital to your pet’s care. Give your nurses some extra appreciation this month.💚

Meet Abi, one of our fantastic nurses, as we celebrate Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month!

Abi knew she wanted to be a veterinary nurse from a young age – around 11 years old! She even wrote in a personal statement back then that she wanted to be a vet nurse when she grew up.

Abi enjoys the hands-on side of nursing, from assisting in procedures to keeping a close eye on patients and supporting them as they recover. It’s a role built on focus, trust, and attention to detail — and Abi brings all three everyday, we are so grateful for her!💚

Bonus: She has a soft spot for all things feline🐈‍⬛

Fun Fact for Veterinary Nurse Awareness month!

They don’t just care for your pets (although they are great at that too!) — they also carry out blood tests and run samples in-house, helping us get answers quickly when your pet needs it most.
We truly couldn’t do it without them! 💚
