Every time we go out on a walk, people think Sweet’s not a girl 😭

“Aw… he looks like a grumpy old man”
SIR… that is my DAUGHTER 💀😂

So we had to fix that immediately.

Gave her a little tidy-up and now she’s back to looking like the cute little girl she actually is 🐶✨ No more mistaken identity… hopefully 😂

Honestly can’t believe I let her walk around looking like that for so long 😭✂️

Meet Darcy the beautiful girl 🖤🤍

Darcy can be a little nervous around new people and the grooming experience, so we started with a complimentary meet & greet, where the focus was simply on Darcy getting used to me — no equipment, no pressure, just building trust in her own home environment.

During her grooming appointment, everything was kept calm, gentle and positive. Darcy was gradually introduced to the process and we used plenty of treats and encouragement throughout. With mum nearby popping in and out for reassurance, Darcy was able to relax at her own pace 💕

For this groom, the focus was on removing some of the bulk from her coat and giving her a general tidy up all over, keeping everything natural and comfortable for her ✂️

A big part of grooming is teaching dogs that standing still is something good — it’s not something they automatically know. By rewarding her for calm behaviour, we help build understanding and confidence, making each visit a more positive experience 🐾✨

By working at her pace and keeping things consistent, Darcy handled everything so well. She grew in confidence throughout and was an absolute angel on the table 🥰

So proud of you, Darcy — such a special girl 💖

Meet Buddy 🐾
This lovely Bernese Mountain Dog was feeling a little nervous, but with his mum by his side, plenty of reassurance and a few well-earned treats 🍖, he really started to relax.
We worked through a gentle brush out to remove loose coat and carefully de-matted a few tricky areas, always keeping things calm and positive.
So proud of you, Buddy 💙

As you can see from the second photo, Buddy is looking pretty proud of himself too 🥹✨

Meet Random Reggie 🐾

Reggie has been living with a neurological disease since he was just 2 years old.
This condition has sadly caused him to lose his sight and affects the way his brain communicates with his body.

Dogs with neurological conditions can experience things like:
• Poor coordination
• Weakness or tremors
• Balance difficulties
• Confusion
• Difficulty standing for long periods

Despite these challenges, Reggie is an incredibly brave little dog 💙

This was my second time grooming Reggie in his home and the first session was all about building trust and helping him feel comfortable with me. During that visit we focused on a gentle bath and carefully removing some of the matting in his coat.

At our next session we were able to move forward with brushing, more de-matting and clipping his coat. Reggie did amazingly well, especially considering it was his first time standing on a grooming table.

This week we’ll focus on his feet and face and give him a general tidy up.

With dogs like Reggie, grooming isn’t about rushing.
It’s about patience, understanding and giving them time between each step so the experience stays calm, positive and safe.

So proud of this boy 🐾

Before & after for this handsome Border Collie x Springer Spaniel.

I’ve just finished a great week of pet sitting with this lovely boy, and while I was there his mum asked if I could give him a full groom and tidy.

He was a little bit nervous to start with, which is completely understandable, so we just took things nice and slowly and worked at his pace. With lots of reassurance (and a few well-earned treats), he soon realised he was doing a great job.

Most importantly, we finished on a really positive experience so he’ll feel even more confident next time. 🐶

Woofers Wellbeing Barbers takes the time to make grooming a positive experience for every dog. 💙

🐾 Meet Fudge 🐾

Fudge the Springer Spaniel had her groom all done in the comfort of her own home with Woofers Wellbeing Barbers 💛

She wasn’t too sure about having her legs and feet groomed, so we took things nice and slow, with plenty of little breaks to help her stay calm and relaxed. Having mum nearby meant Fudge could check in for reassurance whenever she needed, which really helped her feel more settled and confident throughout her groom.

In-home grooming allows us to work at each dog’s pace in a familiar environment, helping reduce stress and create a positive experience.

Grooming isn’t just about how dogs look — it’s about making sure they feel safe, comfortable and supported every step of the way ✂️🐶

Fudge did amazingly and we’re so proud of her!

🐾 Meet Charlie 💙 🐾

This was my first time meeting Charlie and he was an absolute angel throughout his entire grooming session — calm, trusting, and a real pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Moments like this are exactly why I focus on creating a relaxed, one-to-one grooming experience at Woofers Wellbeing. Grooming should never feel rushed or overwhelming; it should be a positive experience where dogs feel safe, comfortable and cared for every step of the way. Charlie became so settled he was nearly drifting off while being gently held — a lovely sign of trust and relaxation, especially on a first visit.

My approach combines professional grooming with a strong focus on wellbeing, patience and understanding each dog as an individual, ensuring both a beautiful finish and a calm experience.

🐶 Calm, individual in-your-home appointments
🐶 Welfare-focused, gentle handling
🐶 Tailored grooming to suit each dog’s needs

If you’re looking for a groomer who prioritises your dog’s comfort as much as the final result, I’d love to welcome you and your dog to Woofers Wellbeing.

This is Harley 💙🐾

Harley hasn’t had the easiest journey with grooming. Previous experiences have been hard for him, and he needs a sedative to help him relax — it was never about a “perfect groom”. It was about building trust.

We kept things gentle and short, starting with an introduction groom. Harley actually enjoys having a bath, so that gave us a calm, positive place to begin. He’s frightened of the dryer, so moving forward his parents will lovingly wash him the day before I visit, letting him dry naturally at home where he feels safest 💙

The biggest challenge for Harley is his legs. He really struggles with them being touched and would usually move them away as soon as anything came close. So we slowed everything right down. No pressure. No forcing. Just patience.

I began by running the back of the comb softly over his body and legs, rewarding him with treats every time he let me get a little closer. And slowly — so slowly — something changed. Harley started to trust. Eventually, he allowed the comb to run down his legs without moving away at all 🥹✨

That moment meant more than any finished haircut ever could.

In a few weeks’ time, we’ll gently move towards clipping his body, something he’s already familiar with thanks to his parents working with him at home. His legs will come in time — always at his pace.

Progress over perfection.
Listening over rushing.
And always putting the dog first 💙🐶

This is Buckley 💙
Buckley usually shakes and becomes very anxious when going to the groomers. He’s especially worried when it comes to his legs being touched.

Grooming at home meant we could take everything slowly and work completely at his pace. I used lots of reassurance and rewarded him with treats, which he responded to so positively 🐶✨

Having his family close by and able to pop in also helped him relax and feel safe — The result? A calm groom, growing confidence… and no shakes from Buckley 💙

Gentle, patient, in-home grooming really can make all the difference.
