From tomorrow, 31st December, we will be in tier 4. This means that all none essential shops have to close once more. As we are classed as essential we will be staying open. We are planning on opening normal hours.
Monday to Saturday 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Hopefully all our suppliers will still be able to keep us stocked up ok. I can’t foresee any problems at present.
We will do all we can to help and get what our customers require.

We have a new own label superior dog food.
There are 3 flavours available. Beef, Duck & Salmon. These are for adult dogs but a puppy will be available soon.

This is a grain free complete kibble with a high meat/fish content at 65% including 35% freshly prepared. Each flavour also contains a blend of 5 carefully selected superfoods. All selected for their own unique benefits.

Because of the high nutritional value you won’t need to feed as much.

Hi all. With the announcement yesterday of the up and coming new Covid restrictions and shut down and want to confirm that we at Wincanton Pet Stores are classed as essential and will be remaining open.
We are planning to be open our normal hours of 9am till 5pm Monday to Saturday. This could be open to change depending on how quiet we are.
We have been continuing to do local deliveries and are happy to continue doing so. The only thing I would ask, is if possible, I would prefer to do deliveries mainly on Thursday’s. If any customer wants anything ordered in I can then get it on our Thursday delivery and deliver it out Thursday afternoon. I would need to have orders in by first thing Wednesday morning. We don’t for-see having any problems getting hold of stock. If we can get what you require we will.

Just to let our customers know that we are now back to our normal opening hours. 9 till 5 Monday to Saturday, closed Sundays. We are still doing home deliveries but trying to do these just on a Thursday now.
Stock levels are fairly good although a few items are proving difficult to get. The Fish and Plants are certainly still an issue. Hopefully this will improve with time.

Just to let all our customers know, we are still open, although as we are one of just a few shops open in the high Street, and about the only one in the afternoons, we are thinking of shutting early, probably around 3.00pm. As there is only a couple of us in the shop at present, and we are doing quite a few deliveries, this will allow me to get these done during the afternoons.
Stock levels are pretty good and we are still getting our weekly deliveries ok. Although there has been a bit of a delay from one.
I would like to thank all our customers for your support in these very testing times.

Hi all.
We are still open and hoping to continue to be.
We are being restricted a bit on what we can order from our wholesalers but should still be able to keep stock levels at a reasonable level. The only problem we have is that we only get a couple of deliveries a week so we could run low on some items for a couple of days and some lines will be unavailable until this crisis is over. These though will be accessories rather than feed.
We will be doing free local deliveries to those who are self isolating or unable to get out.
We would like you to help us, to help you, to get what you require, so if anything particular is required please let us know in advance and we will do our best to get that in for you. We will then put these back for you.
We have had a number of customers that we wouldn’t usually see and thank you for your custom, hopefully some of you will continue to use us in the future.

Why is it that people think that independent high Street shops are bound to be more expensive than the big stores? We aren’t!!
The last customer we had in was looking at an item in our shop and said we were much more expensive than pets at home. I don’t like to argue with customers without checking things first. But I said I would be surprised if we were.
After she had gone I checked the item that she was talking about. The pets at home one was there own brand, smaller, and a lot thinner plastic. When I compared other products that we sell, and compared like for like, we were cheaper than pets at home for all of them, some by quite a lot.
